SDCC 2018 Cosplay Plans/Progress

I just got my Rey staff & Jyn’s gun from the 3D printer. Super excited to get them put together and paint & primer both.

I'm planning to get myself a 3D printer for cosplay purposes and Rey's staff is definitely on the "to do" list. Might I ask which 3D printer are you using?

Thanks guys! I had to chop the staff down to 3 pieces that screw together so I would fit in my suitcase. I’m hoping to pick up some leather to make the strap in the next couple of weeks.

I just bought my daughter a Prusa i3 MK3 which I got after making a huge mistake and backing the M3D Pro on Kickstarter.  We never received the printer after waiting a whole year.

These came from Etsy  because I was still waiting for the other printer & I was afraid they weren’t going to be done on time.
Which printer are you looking at?

I heard the Prusa i3 MK3 is pretty top tier but sadly I don't really have the funds for it. I'm most likely going to get the CR-10S since I heard it's pretty good for the price and after watching Youtube videos a lot of people seem to be praising it.

That looks awesome!  My friends and I cosplay every year as characters from Rick and Morty.  We are working on putting together the last bits of our outfits.  We only do it one of the days but it is always so much fun.

Thanks so much! Rick & Morty that’s so cool hopefully we will see y’all!
I’ve been meaning to post some pics since I’m closer to being finished.
I made it so the staff breaks down in 2 pieces so it would be easier to ship. I also painted some rust & mud so it looks used. I have also done the linen wrap on the center but I need to take some new pics.

Done! It breaks down to 2 pieces so I can haul it from Texas.
