Fandango Fans as Most Anticipated 2013 Movie
LOS ANGELES — June 26, 2013 — Lionsgate announced today that Fandango Chief Correspondent Dave Karger will moderate a panel on Saturday, July 20th at the San Diego Comic-Con, featuring talent and exclusive footage from two of the studio’s upcoming films THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE (opening November 22, 2013, the film stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth) and I, FRANKENSTEIN (opening January 24, 2014, the film stars Aaron Eckhart, Yvonne Strahovski and Bill Nighy). Talent from both films will be in attendance for the panel during which the studio will debut an exclusive new trailer for THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE and never-before-seen footage from I, FRANKENSTEIN.
Starting today, moviegoers will have the chance to submit questions for panel participants through the films' Facebook pages (www.facebook.com/thehungergamesmovie and www.facebook.com/ifrankensteinmovie) and Fandango’s Facebook page (www.facebook.com/fandango) using the hashtags #CatchingFireComicCon and #IFrankensteinComicCon. Answers to select questions will be posted on those Facebook pages.
Fandango fans have been closely following the entire HUNGER GAMES saga from its first day of production. A January 2013 moviegoer survey of thousands of moviegoers on Fandango found that the film’s follow-up, THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE, was voted the most anticipated movie of the year.

I guess I'm going to be in Hall H for at least part of Sat. Hope they do another signing this year :) that'd be cool

I'm hoping it's the first panel. I was already planning on camping out because of Marvel and now this just throws another wrench into everything.
-
Hall H on Saturday also I guess. I know daughter will definitely want to see this
-
I feel like I'll be able to get to Ballroom 20 at 7-8 am and just stroll into the HIMYM panel on Saturday. As much as I feel like Hall H on Saturday will be THE place to be and lead to all of the big talking points post-con, just like last year, do I want to make that much of a time commitment? I'd LOVE to see the Winter Soldier and Thor 2 footage, mind you...Decisions, decisions! So much to choose from, and we only know SOME of the panels in only TWO of the rooms so far.

I want to see the HIMYM panel! Is that confirmed for Ballroom 20?

No word on which room yet for HIMYM.

Geez, my entire con is going to be spent in line at this point!
-
That's pretty much how it goes lol

I tell myself every year I'm not going to do that again, I say smaller panels and more time on the exhibit floor. Then the schedule comes out ... >:D
-
It's under 3 weeks until the con! I want the schedule to come out now.

July 4th!

Same here. I'm hoping that most of the Hunger Games types leave after the panel (and that it's first). I've been planning for Winter Soldier since last year and this is a HUGE complication. (There's a reason the Hunger Games on Saturday has been my SDCC worst nightmare since then).

any idea about the 'I, Frankenstein" part of the panel?
eta, i found this, not a clip but illuminating

I imagine it'll be short? and probably the 1st part of the panel
-
No word on room yet, I'm just assuming based on the popularity of the show/cast. Could be elsewhere though!
-
gawd! i have been waiting for this hunger games panel forEVER! jlaw better show, too!
-
It'll be Hall H.
-
I just want this to mean less people will plan to camp out for Hall H on Friday. /angst

The line is going to be insane.
