Same, nothing here yet. I assume we’ll have to know by early next month unless pro reg is going to be later than last year.

Heard nothing here yet.  I submitted my application back on July 13, so it is going on 8 weeks.  Although, I don't expect they even started looking at apps until after everything for this year's con wrapped up and they had time to recover.

It said in the app process that they wouldn’t even begin the approvals until 6-8 weeks after the convention ended!

Not sure exactly where it said that.  This is what it currently says, which I take as 6-8 weeks after the 8/16 deadline.  It's only been about 3 weeks into that period.

Comic-Con 2020 professional application period is now closed. All applications and verification materials were due by August 16, 2019. Applications submitted after this date will be considered for WonderCon Anaheim 2020 and Comic-Con 2021.
Please allow at least 6 - 8 weeks for applications to be processed. If you have been approved as a professional for Comic-Con 2020, or if your professional verification status is NOT DUE, you will receive information regarding online professional badge registration as it becomes available.

You're right. I actually misread your original post.  Sorry about that.  But based on that it will be 6 weeks after tomorrow, so we could hear any day now.

It's also going on 9 weeks since the con ended and 10 weeks since I submitted my application.  Hoping to hear something soon.

Same for me! It’s definitely beginning to get frustrating, but hopefully we’ll start getting responses before the end of the month.

Well, I guess the clock didn't start right after the end of the con.  Tried as politely as I could to reach out and see if they had any questions with my application.  Here's the response.

Thank you for contacting us.  The review period for Comic-Con 2020 applications began after applications closed on August 16.  If you do not hear from us within 8 weeks of that date, please contact us again.

So I guess it's back to waiting.   :)

I have to give them credit for one thing.  They responded within about a half hour of my inquiry.

Wow, glad they got back to you so quickly, and thanks for clarifying for us! Though I have to admit that their mixed signals, while unsurprising, are immensely frustrating. For example, I checked my emails from this year on pro reg, and the one announcing the opening of applications says the following:

Once you have submitted your application and verification materials, please allow 6 - 8 weeks after the application period has closed for processing and review.

However, my submission confirmation e-mail says:

Please allow 6-8 weeks after Comic-Con 2019 or your submission (whichever is later) to be processed.

This is quite reminiscent of the Hall H fiasco from this past year - I.e. the website saying one thing, but they were then giving completely different instructions on site, which varied from employee to employee until Thurs morning. I’m less than impressed with their communication skills. But, again, not totally surprised!

Well, it's now been more than 6 weeks since the application period has closed.  So, regardless of which communication is accurate, we are now into the period when we should expect to start hearing results.  I do have to ask, "Why does it take so long?"  I mean, certainly they don't need 6 to 8 weeks to review a single application and make a determination as to whether or not that person qualifies...unless:

1.  Rather than notify people as decisions are made, they want to release the decisions in a large batch.
2.  They wanted to see how many applications they get and then determine how tight to make the qualifications so that approvals equal a predetermined number of badges.

Mostly, I'm worried about #2.  This is the third time I've applied (approved the prior 2 times) and the basic qualifications that apply to me haven't really changed.  Unless of course they start raising the bar due to an increased number of applications.
