I'm hoping they don't catch the error untill tomorrow & I can book this for my entire stay.  I like leaving on Tuesday after the con.

Alyssa, book it now and then add the day on (or make a separate reservation  for the Monday night if necessary) later. Don't miss out on the great rate because of the one night!

I tried to book reservations for The Bristol, The Sofia and the Four Points by Sheraton (where I stayed) and for the first and third, the dates are not available.  For the Sofia, the dates for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are $300 a night and for the Friday, Saturday and Sunday, they are $195 a night.

It's still there. You have to book starting July 13 and ending July 21 or 22.

I also just booked for the 13th through 22nd!  So are you guys that are booking based on the price of 2 people actually just having 2 in your room?  I went ahead and made the reservation for 3 people even though it was a little more, but I fully expect to have 4 people in my room to be able to afford it.  Kinda scary committing to $2600 on my credit card even though I should be able to cancel at any point lol.

Same here, but the rate is so cheap that it's worthwhile paying for the extra days, even if you don't need them.

Yeh i think it's actually cheaper to book 9 night than 5!  Well I'm looking forward to a few extra leisure days before the con.

OMG! I'm starting to loathe this forum.  ;D

I went ahead and made a reservation for 8 nights (against my better judgment, perhaps, but rationalized it be saying I could maybe use the other days to check out the Zoo and Sea World, and also maybe take in a Padres game next year if I end up coming back).

Anyone know if the hotel puts a credit hold for the $2000 against the credit card used for the reservation?

I doubt it, otherwise I won't be able to use that card for the next 12 months because I think my limit is 2-3k.

It is booked. I still think I'll stay in chula vista with a rental car, but that'll depend on underground parking

When I read these posts is when I'm so thankful my parents, sister and in-laws live in SoCal. It's a good 75 minute commute in and granted gas is pricey but it's still cheaper! Now I must confess, I did and plan again to get a room for Preview Night since that ends so late and I'm back the next morning so early.

Now if I did have to stay locally, I'd jump on this because beyond the price, the The Manchester Grand Hyatt is incredible!!!
