It was a very small con and I think organized in conjunction with Condor, since it used the same rooms and I saw the same people. It was a bit pricey but I got to meet Murphy Anderson. George Clayton Johnson was there, so was Mark Evanier. Small dealer room but I got a deal on Gerry Anderson's UFO.

Wow, after reading this I don't feel so bad that I didn't end up going. Hopefully things will be better next year. Although if there were only 100-200 people per day, there very well may not be a next year. I think they may have burned themselves with the rising ticket prices/high ticket prices.

here's the thing. The long running LA comic book con run by Bruce Schwartz is $8 and is one big room in dingy LA. SD Comic Fest had more panels and real guests and fewer dealers but a better hotel. The "good old days" of hole in the wall conventions where you could buy golden age comics for a hundred dollars are gone. So we better just get used to it.
