Yup. Buying next year's badges was pretty much always one of the last things I did on Sunday. So 3-4pm rolls around, I'm like, hey, might as well buy badges for next year.

Regarding the TV screens showing badge inventory, I have a screencap of it: You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login
The thing about that chart is it's reverse from what you expect. As inventory runs low, the indicators go UP, not down. That year, we were one of the last to get 4day + preview. We were lined up at 5:15am in front of Manchester Grand Hyatt (back before crazy overnight lines were a thing). And it was so nerve-wrecking standing in line and watching the inventory dwindle.

Same here.  Always went downstairs to buy my budges at the best discounted price for the next year before I left the con on Sunday.  I was happened to be staying at the Manchester the year they switched the system.  After Preview Night, I thought I'd check out to see if anyone was crazy enough to be in line and low & behold there were about 50 people already in line, camping out.  The staff at the Manchester kindly provided me with pillows & blankets and I joined the camp out. In the morning I got through the line quickly enough that I was able to get to the con before they opened the doors.  Ahhh, the good ole' days!

I was really hoping it would be this weekend and that they just weren't giving us a good heads up.  But I'll make the 16th work!  Gotta try for some of our group and maybe PN if we're lucky :)

Question - Will the $7.50 per badge fee be added again if you are only adding days to ones you got in Returning Registration?

If it is like last year - yes, they will charge you another $7.50 if you add days.

Finally! I can start making plans now that the date has been announced.

I haven't gotten Preview Night in so long that I didn't realize how expensive it was! I was still thinking that it would be $35, but it's $50!.. and then, they add another $7.50 on top of that?!?  :o Good grief!

If they're going to charge that much for an abbreviated day, I hope they decide to open the hall earlier.

Yeah, same here. I'm only missing PN but I'm unsure if I want to pay $50 + $7.50 even if I do end up getting in. That's even more expensive than Sunday.

I believe the increase in cost is to diminish interest. And from what I can see, it is working. I know quite a few people who have decided not to attend PN because it is too expensive, especially since there are other events that occur the same evening.
