While you probably still don’t know if you’re attending San Diego Comic-Con this summer, we’ve got our first official confirmation of a TV show that will be in attendance.
Today, in a joint press release from Starz and Sony, Outlander was confirmed that its 13-episode third season will premiere in September — and that fans will first get a chance to get hyped for the upcoming season at San Diego Comic-Con 2017 where they’ll be “offering fans a chance to experience more of this beloved series in person”.
Outlander skipped out on last year’s convention due to production schedules, so fans of the series should be excited to see the series return this year.
In 2015 — the last time the series appeared at San Diego Comic-Con — stars Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan were in attendance, as well as executive producers Ronald D. Moore and Maril Davis, and author Diana Gabaldon. While no further details are available yet for 2017, we’d expect a similar turnout.

"Outlander returns to San Diego Comic-Con"... sigh. If only I knew if I would get to return to San Diego Comic-Con... :(
But that aside, this is good news. I love this show and their Con presence in 2015 was really fun with the wandering kilted men and bagpipers.

That's very exciting! I missed their presence in 2015 since I didn't have a Saturday badge, so I was really sad when they didn't return in 2016. Hopefully, I'll get to see them this year!
Now, if only we had more information on badge registration... :-\

hopefully me and my wife can see the cast this year, that would be awesome.

Outlander Returns to San Diego Comic-Con in 2017, only to find no one sitting in their brand new shiny chairs.

So happy they are returning.... love the books and the show!
-
I remember first seeing Sam Heughan in "A Princess for Christmas"...actually that is the reason I started watching "Outlander".

With Katie McGrath! I love that movie. It's so ridiculous.

Me three! Christmas is the only time to watch those movies lol.

Oh my gosh, I am so happy to meet some folk that love that movie, too. And today we honor Roger Moore...our Edward.
-
My wife had us watch it a few years back and now it's a Christmas Tradition along with a load of other Hallmark Christmas films (i.e. A Royal Christmas,..).
Roger Moore was his classic self.
Edward Duke of Castlebury: Well, children, is there anything you would like to ask your grandfather?
Milo Huntington: Yeah, how come you gave us the shaft all these years?

Was so excited that Outlander was coming back to CC....1st day on the floor my daughter and I hit the BBC booth then on to Starz....ask how do we get in line...told to go to back wall to get a ticket. Massive roadblock back where they are holding the overflow line and giving away tickets. We were told to just keep coming back and we might get lucky. Daughter laughingly sympathizes with person giving out tickets as we circled back around for the 3rd time. Next time we pass guy hands her a ticket... she says can my mom have one too as we are together; he gives me one. But now the overflow line is too big.... tells us to come back in a bit. We circle around and are able to get in to line.
Get moved to the line around the booth and I strike up a convo with one of the gals working the booth. Don't know what I said that struck a chord with her, but the next thing I know she is handing me a ticket for the signing with the cast and Diana Gabaldon! Made my con!!!
Also, moral of the story.... treat the people volunteering nicely!
