I know some forum members will be interested in this topic! I have seen it discussed:
Bad Medicine in TV and Film
8:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Room 9
Johnny Kolasinski and Dr. Jackson Vane the creators of Hi Everybody! A Bad Medicine Podcast  and a panel of physicians including Dr. Ewa Farrelly Dr. Courtney Nicholas and Dr. Greg Winter will discuss some of the most glaring mistakes-and unexpected successes-in Hollywood's depictions of medicine injuries and how the body works.

This one looks super interesting:
The Universal Cinematic Influence of Jack Kirby
12:30 PM - 1:30 PM
Room 4
From Star Wars to the MCU Jack Kirby is everywhere. His inspiration is seen in blockbuster movies television and comics here in the States and globally. Tracy Kirby (Kirby's granddaughter) Rand Hoppe (Jack Kirby Museum) and Mike Cecchini ( Den of Geek! and Kirby Museum) are joined by screenwriter Ashley Miller ( Thor X-Men: First Class) to celebrate Kirby's influence in Hollywood and beyond throughout the decades. They'll share a prerecorded message about Jack Kirby from Star Wars legend Mark Hamill and other surprises.

This one is on my radar - will definitely try to attend! Still my very favorite intro song (I still use it as a ringtone!) Ignoring the 30 years (especially since I wasn't a kid when it aired... 👵)

30th Anniversary of X-Men: The Animated Series
5:45 PM - 6:45 PM
Room 6DE
Larry Houston (producer\/director X-Men TAS and Captain Planet) Dan Veesenmeyer (packaging artist for Hasbro Marvel Legends X-Men and Lego Ninjago) and Steven Melching (writer of The X-Men and Star Wars Rebels) celebrate the 30th anniversary and discuss the behind-the-scenes production of the '90s X-Men series. Joining them is Larry Houston director of the series.

3:00 PM - 4:00 PM  A History of the Marvel Universe in 5 Objects, Omni Hotel Ballroom 4th Floor

From schedule: "Boiling down 27,000-plus superhero comic books to a hyper-concentrated slideshow lecture, Eisner-winning comics journalist Douglas Wolk ( All of the Marvels) will tell the story of five remarkable objects that have turned up repeatedly within the half-million-page Marvel epic, and how they act as keys to the way that story has reflected our own world over the past 60 years."

Douglas Wolk is a fantastic author and I really enjoyed his latest book ALL OF THE MARVELS, where yes, he did read 27,000 Marvel issues. He also wrote READING COMICS which came out in 2007, and I remember reading it while I was at SDCC in 2007! He also reviews graphic novels and nonfiction for the NY Times. Really knows his stuff. I'm curious to see what five objects he selects!

Jaws: The Trial
7:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Grand 12 & 13, Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina

From schedule: "The Town of Amity is being sued by the families of shark attack victims! Was it right for Mayor Vaughn to keep the beaches open after the death of Chrissie Watkins? Was the medical examiner right to change Watkins’s cause of death to a boating accident? Attorneys Michael Dennis, Mark Zaid, Danna Nicholas, and Kathy Steinman argue before Judge Carol Najera. Featuring Valerie Tosi as Mrs. Kitner and Jeff May as Mayor Vaughn. Organized by The Legal Geeks."

I can't be the only person who thinks about legal fallouts from what happens in movies and TV, right? Plus, Jaws! Anyone want to join me in a bigger boat for this?
