New clips from The Mummy movie released
« on: June 03, 2017, 05:45:16 PM »
I've always been a fan of the original Universal Pictures monster movies, so I'm cautiously optimistic that the new ones will be good.
Today, they released new clips from The Mummy movie which comes out next week.

Did anyone see this movie?  I didn't even realize it was out or who the cast was.  16% on tomatometer.  Ouch.

Yeah, I've heard some bad buzz about this. I'm also a big fan of the Brendan Fraser movie, so this one would have to be *really* good to get past that for me...

Went to see it at the weekend. It's very poor. Sofia Boutella's The Mummy does little more than pine for Tom Cruise. Transferring the setting to modern day doesn't work at all. The CG effects are rather ropey. Crowe's British accent is laughably bad (worse than Dick Van Dyke's in Mary Poppins).
It is not a good start for the Dark Universe.
