Respectfully, I would ask you not to do that simply because that is more tickets that would go unused when there are people that desperately want to go to the show and there already is a ticket shortage. No one knows the numbers yet, but it is only a portion of the tickets that are going for presales with what I imagine will be the bulk being saved for regular sales.I am in no way trying to tell you what to do, but am respectfully asking that you not do that.
You should have included an "I don't know" option. Being that I was not successful in getting a badge in last year's pre-reg, it's hard for me to say whether or not we'd be better off keeping on-site pre-reg. I opted not to vote.
Oh I definitely don't like restocking fees especially at electronics stores. Was just thinking out loud as to solutions to make pre reg work the way it is intended in rewarding loyal attendees while also keeping people from hording badges.
I like it.However, I think that they should, given the stated restrictions about who may purchase badges and the number of badges they may purchase, make it possible to check out with the number you would like and enter the member ID separately versus checking out of one transaction completely before attempting the second. That way families can be assured they are either all going to get tickets (with stated badges) or not going to get badges. I would not have gotten to go if we hadn't been able to secure both of our badges.
Sorry if I this is a silly question but I do not fully get this pre-registration...I live overseas and I want to go to Comic Con next year with my wife. I have just did (10 minutes ago) our Member ID registration. Since I do not live in the US, I really want to go all the 4 days, otherwise it may be not worth it.I'm reading everywhere and trying to understand how this really works, can anyone please help me?Thank you so much!
Hopefully they won't pick Saturday, August 4. I'll be in Honolulu that day and won't have access to a computer. I'll have my iPhone, but I'm not confident I can get in an online waiting room with my iPhone without getting kicked out.
If they go according to plan, they'll provide almost a week's advance notice and perhaps that'll help you prepare. The problem may be the time difference since if it's 8 or 9am in CA then you're looking at 5-6am? where you are?
I spoke to one lady in line from Ontario CAN, and she had two computers and iphone ready for badge sales, and the phone worked for her when the PCs didn't
The only problem I have with my iPhone is how to set it so that it won't go to sleep. It does that after a minute of inactivity.I tried to use my iPhone for the initial badge sales on March 3. I got in the waiting room at #10,000, then it refreshed to #6,667 and suddenly it stopped refreshing suggesting a broken connection. I don't know why that happened but I assumed it was because my iPhone kept going to sleep after a period of inactivity.
