Still debating on if I should shell out the $150 for this. Who's been there in the past? What can I expect? Anything else to note besides the open bar, arcade games, pool tables, and celebs? Is it pretty chill in there or is it kinda high brow due to the exclusivity?

Thanks!

Host El Mayimbe has said a couple of times on Twitter "dress to impress" whatever that means.  He has mentioned the possibility of Bill Paxton, Jack Black, Stan Lee, and George RR Martin, as well as an unnamed Game of Thrones actor, attending.  I assume there will be more.  And if it's just you and you don't want to spend $150, you can probably find someone on here to split it with you since you are allowed a +1.

There's a lot of studio people that go too. You def want to dress for the part. It doesn't need to be fancy but if you wore it to the Con that day you should probably change before the party.

That's the rule for all parties at night.

You'd be fine with a cute dress.

What about jeans and a nice blouse?

I think that would be fine.  I found some pics from last year and there were people in jeans, shorts etc.  I'm wearing a blouse, capris and nice sandals - you definitely don't have to wear a dress if you don't want to.

Okay awesome. Getting the guys in my group to dress up is going to be the challenge.

On another note, we find ourselves with an extra plus one. If anyone wants to buy it, let me know.

Shorts?  Shorts?! Did someone say you can wear shorts to this shindig?  That's great cuz I really "don't want to wear a dress if I don't  have to"  ;) Just kidding (not about the dress) the plan is after Dexter (if I get in) is to go the hotel, shower, put my "big boy pants" and a dress shirt on.  I will wear my new Chucks though!  :). BTW I read a review on yelp (I think) where a couple of guys were refused entry at this venue allegedly because they were wearing shorts and flip flops...

Any club will deny entry for those items. I've seen people here in Baltimore get turned away for that, it's not a surprise. lol
