All hotels fully committed! I remember the form closing a lot sooner in years past. That or I am grasping at straws lol!

I think the key here is the phrase 'fully committed'.

It's looking more and more like COMIC CON!!!!   :)

For anyone who doesn't think their downtown chances are good and are willing to pay more money, the Horton Grand still has a room available in the low $600's per night.  Available only on their website.

It's not on the SDCC list this year.

My sister absolutely refuses to stay at Horton. We stayed there once, and just the architecture and cramped rooms creeped her out. And it didn't help I showed her a webpage on ghost stories that included the Horton Grand.

You either like old hotels or you don't.  I like them.  It's my friend's preferred hotel and she told me about the avail.  I stayed there once and liked it fine.  They do have one of my favorite bars in Sand Diego.  Great selection of whiskeys.

I stayed at Horton once as well.  The architecture and decoration was scary.  And on Sunday evening, there was like 1 valet person working and a long line of people waiting.  It took close to an hour to actually be able to leave after we checked out.

But, I must say, the central courtyard was a nice, cool place to hang out after doing a ton of walking during the day.

Haha, that's why my sister won't stay there either.  I have to look up if hotels are 'haunted' before I consider it - and then look to see if there is a pool because of my niece xD

Everyone feels differently about things, a haunted hotel would be a selling point for me, lol
A straight line may be the shortest distance between two points, but it is by no means the most interesting”

So.... I'm over waiting already. LOL.

I hate that we enter a lottery and then they make us wait days to find out. I sometimes miss the rush of everyone trying to book at once.

...sometimes.

Because of my admission time (7 minutes), I have no anxiety.  I *know* I'm not getting a downtown hotel.  Fortunately, I have a back-up downtown hotel, which I intend to use when that is confirmed two weeks from now.  I also don't expect to get a response until May 10th.  Meanwhile, I should work on my flights.

^^^ Same here.  My productivity usually nosedives right around hotelpocalypse and only recovers after labor day.
