Sheesh, these flight prices are brutal right now. We've been holding off before purchasing, but that now seems to clearly have been a mistake!

First time in a long time I have to book something with a layover, sad to see fewer direct flights scheduled.

Brutal is the right word!  😬  For our group it is a huge chunk of cash, and maybe getting larger by the day.   Argh.
It is 2024, and I am still asking...where's my flyin' car??!! @fannishmarcia

I would absolutely recommend checking the airlines every day for a week or more, because the prices definitely fluctuate, sometimes significantly, from day to day. I just booked my flight yesterday (a Tuesday, generally considered one of the cheaper days to buy tickets) and the tickets for round trip were a full $150 cheaper than what they were on Saturday when I checked. (I booked with Delta, fwiw.)

I'm looking from Florida and been tracking it for a month or two, it fluctuates $30-$50 so I'm just trying to catch it on a down swing at this point, that could pay for bag check!

Finally got around to booking mine. I use SW and a lot of the cheaper fares were already sold out. And the prices are nuts! But oh well. Not much to do about it.

Just bought my tickets on southwest.  I went to check the flights and there were only two seats left on the nonstop Wednesday morning out of BWI so it finally moved me to action.  Prices were around the same I have always paid them since I started going in 2016, a little less than 600 for the roundtrip nonstop each way.  Getting this accomplished has kind of made my day.  I can't wait to get back to San Diego!

I'm jelly of the nonstop flights...Southwest from here in PHL to SAN always has one stop, at least, everytime that I looked.

I was able to get some decently priced flights from Canada, with free cancellation too (well it goes back to Wesjet dollars but I will use those anyway).

I booked for going back on Monday for the first time (usually left on Sundays for past years) with the hope of fulling enjoying the Sunday at the convention and joining the forum group for the Sunday dinner.

I booked my flight last month. It was $300 cheaper than what I paid in 2019. Air Canada finally has a direct flight from Montreal to San Diego so I was able to get them. Hopefully they wont be cancelled. When I went to San Diego in October Delta kept cancelling and changing the flights. I think I was lucky I booked when I did as the flights are now about what I paid in 2019.

I bought my flights last month. There was only two non-stop flights available to and from New Orleans on Southwest. When one of the flights started to fill up, I went on ahead and bought them. I didn't want any layovers if I could avoid it. I got rerouted while waiting for my layover last year. It took me 14 hours to get home! No thank you. Fingers crossed I have no issues this time around.
