NEW Feature: Karma, What is shows & how to give it

We've rolled out a new feature on the forum called Karma.

What it's for;
Someone's Karma rating will give folks a snapshot of how much that individual has done for other members. Initially, it will be based on giving hotel rooms or other MAJOR acts of kindness. For example, a member bailed me out at WonderCon with a place to stay on Saturday night so I could meet up with my *fav* artist on Sunday. That act of kindness resulted in a Karma point. I am confident there will be significant karma given in the coming weeks.   #lookingAtCCI

How to give a karma point;
Please post in this thread if someone from this forum gave you a hotel room. We need to know the FORUM NAME  of that person.
We will take that & apply it to that individual's account in the form of a positive Karma increment.

We * may * open it up to other acts of kindness at a later date.

Note; If someone did something very nice for you at WonderCon PM me. There is a small lookback period.

For those in the hotel exchange please note my form for this.  It's important this is done for the hotel exchange so people are properly marked off.

OK, you'z guys are gonna make me create another thread for reporting, aren't cha?

But yeah, without knowing the specifics of the China system, that sounds about right.

The idea is to identify folks who have given/supported the system, thereby making it easier to do something nice for them down the road.

Like, If someone had 3 karma's & wants me to pick up a thingy at a vendor I'm at. My reaction would be 'sure' because I can trust that they're part of the community & helpful to others.

Maybe add a channel on the discord so it can be recorded there too?  I know last year a lot of hotel helping was going on there.

This karma thing is tricky. If I get an extra room, I get karma next week; if I give karma next week, that means I blew it at the Hotelocalypse. But I want to be a giver...
Maybe it's a win/win. If this was in place last year, I would have given big Karma to Transmute Jun for helping me and my nephew out hotel-wise. I kinda want to give sessionka karma for sharing french fries with me at Wondercon.
