And here's another suggestion...my friend from Wales got our picks in before me and he just got an email telling him we're booked at the Double Tree in Mission Valley. That wasn't on our list!! we didn't have any Mission Valley hotels on the list and we didn't check the "book me somewhere and keep me on a waiting list" option. So how about...I got booked somewhere I didn't even choose. We so confused...

I just got emailed at 4:28 PM PDT (Pacific) time that I got my first choice hotel, Hilton San Diego Bayfront! Yeah!

I submitted my 8 choices by 9:03:00 AM 3/29. I have seen on Facebook that others have been having confirmations going out for about an hour before I got mine. Some got their first choices and some didn't. I think that all the reservations are processed but the confirmation emails are not necessarily going out in the order you booked because one person on FB posted that they got their confirmation email even though someone else in their group submitted before them, so I wouldn't freak out if you don't get an email right away and you submitted early.

Apparently the emails are going out by hotel name & not by order of submission

I read this comment on CCI's wall

Based on twitter and Facebook comments, it seems hotel reservations are going out by hotel and in alphabetical order, not in order submitted.

It sounds pretty true from what I've been reading.

My girlfriend and I both received our first choice of the Hard Rock. Since we both got the same one I will cancel mine, so there is at least one more slot that I can assure will be opening up for that hotel down the line.

Request went into lottery five minutes after they opened.  Just got my confirmation for a hotel not on my list.  Disappointed to say the least.  I think I would rather have just been added to the wait list (which was what I requested on the lottery form).  Sigh.  So what do I have to do to get put on the wait list?  This is my first Comic Con.  Thanks for any advice anyone can share.

Just go my confirmation for the San Diego Marriott Gaslamp Quarter which was my first choice.  Submitted list of top 8 hotels around 9:03 ish
