Their announcement says their booth.  Trying to get an idea of how early to line up.

After reading through this thread, we've covered the process for the CCI-run limited signings (such as Stan Lee on Saturday).

1. Does anyone know how to get a ticket for the CCI-run NOT limited signings (such as The Character of Music: Classic Horror Special Edition group signing on Saturday 1:00pm - 2:00pm held in AA07)?

2. In these CCI-run group signings, are we allowed to bring an item for them to sign?

Reading their announcement again, here is a detail that might clarify.

Some signings require a wristband for entry, as noted on the schedule. Drawings for wristbands for these events will begin at show opening the day before and day of each signing. Come to the Dark Horse booth early for the best chance to join these events.

Last year, they would give out half the day before and the other half the day of the event.  So if say you want Fight Club signing which is on Sunday, you rush to their booth on Saturday to do the drawing, and if unsuccessful or you can't make it then, you have Sunday to pull.  If you are unsuccessful, you can go to the back of the line (which will be growing quickly).  They may cut it off if it overflows too much.  There are only 4 ticketed events where this occurs, the rest you can just show up.

To be clear, the events that are ticketed are really popular, so this should be the first thing you head towards on the opening of the morning you plan to do the drawing.  Whedon has a super big fanbase as does the Avatar signings (not sure for Del Toro or Fight Club).

For 1, there is no ticket.  Only limited signings require tickets.  You should be fine just showing up and lining up, although I'm not sure how popular these people will be, chances are you probably don't need to line up hours ahead of time.

For 2, the rule is they are obligated to sign the Program guide for you.  That's their bare minimum.  In my experience, MOST people signing at the Sails Pavilion are willing to sign your personal items (CDs, DVDs, posters, etc) and most don't seem to have any limits.  It seems unlikely they will have anything there to provide you for FREE to sign, but each of the individuals might have things to sell to you that they will sign (probably CDs, headshots, posters, etc).  Although there is no guarantee.

My memory is shoddy, but I want to say I get there by 7:30, maybe 7?  I know I get there when they open the doors to let people line up in the convention center either in the Sails Pavilion or on the walkway past BR 20 and I've done pretty good in the past.  Most people lining up usually are gunning for the big Hollywood signings, swag or exclusives.

I purchased a ticket for Stan Lee's Meet & Greet. We are supposed to take one item of ours for signing.
I have a "Dead of Spider-Man" comic, Issue 160, Variant Edition with Mary Jane holding Peter. It's not rare nor expensive. However, I was thinking of Stan to sign it, even though he had nothing to with it.
Would it be wrong? What would you had him sign instead? (I don't own any Stan Lee comics).

A Batman comic.   ;D

You should be fine. If you can swing it maybe find a Stan Lee comic @ con?
