Bill Cosby at Humphrey's by the Bay
« on: June 05, 2013, 09:48:57 AM »
HEY HEY HEY!!!

It's the King of Pudding, performing at Humphrey's by the Bay, which is visible from the convention center. He's there Sunday, July 21st, 7:30pm. Tickets are $68 (ouch!!) or go find a boat, row out to the venue (it's outside) and catch the whole thing for FREE!! ;)

Here's a link to explain getting a boat, though it doesn't say WHERE to get them. I'll investigate and get back to you, because it's the adventure that's half the fun, right?

I've had the pleasure of seeing Bill Cosby a couple of times, he is a great performer!  And a super nice guy in person.

The more things change, the more they stay the same

Hoban 'Wash' Washburn: It's okay, I'm a leaf on the wind!
Capt. Malcolm Reynolds: What does that mean?

That sounds neat!

I can't tell from that website, but is it possible to rent a big boat and have FoCCI people on it?

Always wanted to see the Cos!  Shoot, I'm not getting into San Diego until Monday or I'd check this out for sure.

It's after the Con, not before.

I spoke to a guy at Shelter Island Sailing and he said his boats are too big to fit in that narrow channel and he recommends a dingy, kayak or raft. ("We're gonna need a bigger boat!")

I asked if he knew where to rent a dingy or kayak and he said he wasn't sure but people go to a sporting goods store and buy rafts.

I am SURE I have seen yachts in the channel before. Hum......maybe it was a sail boat.....it's all a fuzzy blur now....

Ah well, it was just a thought. See, I volunteered to set up a Sunday late afternoon/early evening FoCCI get-together and I thought this would be a fun way to do it.
