I was there around 11. Batman had sold out but they still had a lot of captain marvel sets

Thanks again to you both!  I was in a signing at Dark Horse at 130pm and a buddy texted me about that promo.  I looked up this thread to confirm it and felt glad the Batman had sold out so early, which was what I wanted.

I didn't feel bad for missing Batty, as that saved my plan for my 2pm signing in Sails without a disappointing Lego detour!

Pretty bummed that no one on the Discord mentioned this on Sunday. I'd have gotten a Captain Marvel set.

I know a lot of us mentioned before the con about really wanting the Cap M set.   Had I found out in time for sure I would have mentioned it on our discord.  Would have even picked up extras if possible for fellow forum people.   Oh well, lesson learned - constantly constantly check ALL information streams while at the con.

I do plan on owning an unofficial version of the set, however.  I would have opened it anyways so as soon as someone catalogs all the necessary pieces, I’ll either order them on bricklink or buy from Lego Store’s wall of bricks.    I won’t have that Kree Starforce Carol fig because it’s exclusive to the set so I’ll put the together a pilot Carol which will be more accurate for this set.

Whenever I get done, I’ll post an update.

Yes, I'm not on discord, though I regret not adding a couple of the forum threads to subscription, where updates get Tapatalk notifications.  The upload and cell reception inside was unusually lively this year.  I was at an offsite line while my friend harvested his Sunday set and had promised another friend to go to his 10 am panel (he flew out Saturday morning), and never got a chance to scope out Lego Intel.  Only after 130pm did he text me of what he had heard previously, 3 hours earlier, at which point Batty was gone and not sure how long Carol lasted in the Open Sale promo.

I get the feeling there was a lot of right hand not knowing wha the left hand was doing.  I was there around 10:45 and was told there were NO spares of Marvel or Batman sets.  I should have double checked when I actually got up to buy around 12:30.  Oh well.

The LEGO SDCC/Star Wars Celebration Exclusive “Bust” collection is complete – for now.

I thoroughly enjoy these busts, and would love to see LEGO spread the love a bit and start selling them at retail.
