Does anyone remember what date they started last year? I feel like this is early.

Someone said last year it started 11/7, which sounds right. I remember being blown away by how early it was.

Honestly I wish they'd move Hotelpocalypse up to match everything else - April still seems insanely late to me. I'd love it to go back to late February like it was a couple of times.

Thanks. Yeah that is early too, but looks like they're going to do it around the same time.

Yeah, especially as people may want to make other accommodations, outside the CCI hotels, if they want to.

On the one hand, I want to get Hotelpocalypse done with for 2019 but on the other hand, I don't think I'm emotionally, mentally, physically, and spiritually ready to do another Hotelpocalypse. I still don't think I've recovered from the anxiety this year.

So I wanted to get a little more prepared for Hotelocalypse, since I've never done it before. I just opted to stay at a Hostel my first CC back in 2017, but this year I can afford to do a bit better for myself. (Hostels are easily the worst way to go for Comic Con)

When you go to sign up for hotels in the lottery system, and if you get chosen, are you required to pay the whole of your reservation bill at once, or do you pay a deposit and then pay the rest in full upon arrival?

You pay 2 nights' deposit to hold your spot, and the rest at the hotel during the con.

Last few times I stayed at a hostel but they have more than doubled the price, it is not worth it anymore and they are filled anyway. Still looking for a good backup hotel or hostel in case I fail with the lottery  :blank:

What happened with The Pendry? Were people able to book just to have their reservations cancelled later?

It was on the hotel list of options but nobody ever got it.
Seems to be a waste of a choice when picking six hotels.

I just need it to be far enough out after Christmas to give me a chance to recover ;D

For the early bid hotels, they are non-refundable, but can the room reservation be taken over by someone else?
