we're thinking notification on Wed. because of last years timing?
wasn't there a problem getting the notification emails out- or am i conflating last year with a previous year?

Last year’s lottery occurred on Monday and the notification were sent out by Wednesday.  Good luck.
Great recall! I'll keep my fingers crossed on Wednesday!

There was a problem last year. If I recall, there were only a few sent out at first, and they have everyone's email addresses visible. In other words, they didn't use a 'blind' list to send out the emails, so you could see other people who had gotten the same result as you. They had to stop sending out the emails and fix it before resuming.

Yep. I think that one guy being exposed to the 'world' was what prompted Ace to change the system to credit card verification this year.

I was really upset about that when I heard about the site/app/program that allowed people to create 100 email addresses. I only entered my home and work email and was really fortunate to get in round 1. I was amazed considering what I was up against.

Weren't like 50 of the first-round winners all variations of the same email last year? Joey1234 or something? I remember people making jokes about wanting to be friends with Joey.

That’s pretty much exactly what happened! It was kinda funny, BUT also kind of a pain since I needed parking!

UPDATE: 4/24/18

The lottery sign-up period is now closed. Emails will be going out today to the entries that were selected in the drawing. The entries will be organized into five groups. Group 1 will be able to purchase their parking reservations on April 30th and will have the whole week to do so. Group 2 will gain access to the system on May 7th and have the whole week to do so. We will continue in this fashion through Group 5 and then the system will be opened to the public.
