Some observations about the schedule:

There are a few entries that looks like studio panels on the surface; however, in most cases they're doing the bare minimum, just like the ones they had last year. For instance:

Blizzard Presents/DreamWorks She-Ra/FX's Devs -- all of these only have one person on the panel. DreamWorks Kipo & the Wonderbeasts looks a bit better, with 3 people. But no actors/actresses for any of the shows.

AMC's TWD: World Beyond - screening only, no panel.

However, the one that actually does look legit is the Into the Spider-Verse animation panel. Yay for Titmouse Animation coming back, too.

I also see Syfy Wire's Looking for Leia and Khonjin House: The Movie. These resemble the indie screenings they used to have years ago at ECCC, but that haven't seen much of recently.

No Twisted Toonz this year. This was confirmed by ECCC.

They kept away the music content, but it looks like they added a lot of dance panels. I suppose that's someone's cup of tea but not mine.

Still time to add a few more.

At least the guest list this year is good. There seem to be fewer than usual cancellations (I think only one of the voice actors so far), let's hope it stays that way.

Don’t jinx anything by saying fewer cancellations!  It’s still 3 weeks out.

They still owe us Melissa Benoist. I'm still bent about her cancelling on the last day several years ago. Meeting her was a main reason why I attended that show. I'm hoping that ECCC can work that deal out in the home stretch.

Melissa Benoist is the queen of con cancellations, not to mention last minute cancellations. I remember a few years ago she (along with Chris Wood) cancelled the Heroes and Villains con in London a few days before the con itself but luckily almost everyone else showed up. She was also scheduled for the HV Nashville con a couple of months later but backed out last minute-- I think this con she had a real excuse, she had to shoot scenes for Supergirl that weekend. But anyhow she cancels so many cons that it's a shock to her fans when she does show up. Basically I wouldn't book any nonrefundable travel plans to see her if she's the only guest you want to see at a con.

Anyone have their badges yet? We're basically 2 weeks out and I haven't seen or heard of anyone receiving their badges in the mail yet...

ETA   Where is the World Beyond screening? I can't find it in the schedule..

The ECCC Twitter account posted today that badges are mailing out now. Feels like they cut it kind of close this year for mailing the badges...

No kidding! I am arriving in Seattle 2 weeks from today! And usually my badges are one of the last ones to arrive.

They only recently posted pictures of what the badges look like. I am wondering if they had some kind of printing issue.

Is she worse than Matt Smith? He cancelled today. /shockedbutnotreally

Just coming here to post that Matt Smith cancelled, but Hikanteki beat me to it!

I remember this happened a few years ago... Matt Smith was supposed to come to ECCC but cancelled a couple of weeks out.

He also canceled C2E2, so probably related.
