What ?? Wait, 'multiple entries won't help your odds'?!
That makes no sense.

Their wording is not the clearest, but I *think* they mean "multiple entries [from the same email address]". It's just another in the list of dumb things in this process.

They mean multiple entries with the same email address, which highlights how poorly this was thought through.

They're running this like a raffle, not a lottery

Great way of putting it! Spot on!

They are really not thinking through the the communication.  or they are being vague on purpose knowing you really can improve your odds with multiple entries (just not multiple with same em address)

Maybe that means multiple w/the same e-mail?

FWIW it seems very little of this strategy of ACE Parking makes sense...

My question was specifically referring to multiple entries using different email addresses - but the person's real name and address are the same.

I don't think they are thinking this through - It would have been better just to first come, first serve, and just get more servers or something.

I can't decide whether to laugh or cry. They clarified their meaning re:multiple email addresses, but without acknowledging or mitigating the problem at all.

The level of delusion over at Ace this week is sky-high...

Thanks Sam - However, there is still one lingering thing that I think needs more clarification - so I sent the following further question to them:

hank you so much for the info - However, the one question that is still not answered is whether a person is able to establish an ACE Parking Account for each email address submitted.

For example, I currently have an ACE parking account setup for one of my email addresses - so the question is whether I am allowed to set up separate ACE parking account for any other email addresses I submit - even though the name, street address, and zip code on each of the accounts is the same.

To clarify further - if John Jonzz has three different email addresses and enters each of those email addresses into the lottery, can John then setup a separate ACE Parking account for each of those email addresses ahead of time even though each those different email addresses is associated with the name John Jonnz who lives at Anystreet, Anytown, USA, 11111. Then if one of his three email addresses is chosen, he can use the ACE Parking Account he set-up for that specific email address to buy the parking tickets.

Or - When you setup an ACE Account does the system say that account has already been setup for John Jonzz at
Anystreet, Anytown, USA, 11111 - thus preventing him from setting up a separate account for each email address.

Sorry to be so pesty on this - I just want to make sure I have all of the details correct.

Sorry Friends of CCI - the correct spelling is J'onn J'onzz (my bad!)

Martian Manhunter

And I didn't Google. He was my fave in the new JLA til DC cancelled it after Forever Evil and sent him and Star Girl to Justice League Canada and I didn't bite on that dirty trick.

I may be overlooking a reason why this is important, but I don't think you'll need to worry about this for the lottery. You don't have to create an Ace Parking account unless you're selected in the lottery because you don't need it until it's time to purchase, so you won't need to do so for each email address you use to enter.

I'm interested to hear the answer.  If they say you cannot setup a separate account with same street address, that kind of goes against this FAQ answer: "If one of the email accounts you entered from is selected to purchase a permit, you have the option to create an account for that email address, or update your existing account with that email address to qualify for the purchase option."

That answer leads me to believe they only uniquely track email addys, not names/addresses (people in other words).  Not that this would be the first time they contradicted themselves.

From the Faqs:

"Q: Will the system allow me to purchase multiple permits per day?
A: No. Each account is restricted to one permit per day for Comic-Con. If you need to purchase more than one permit, you will need to setup multiple accounts."

IMO You'd need more than one account to buy for lot A and Lot B, if you won.  Once a person buys for the day, that account won't be able to select another lot.  With two accounts, you could also buy Lot A for and Lot A for a second family/friend car, if selected!

As for another account with the same account info...will test that.
