Hot Toys
« on: July 18, 2015, 05:55:10 AM »
Folks have any thoughts/experience w/Hot Toys' statues?  I'm an avid collector of Sideshow's stuff (Marvel and DC statues), and while a very small percentage of the stuff I've received might have slipped a little through their QA process, I'm very satisfied with them overall.

Any folks here collect Hot Toy's stuff?  This brand is sold through Sideshow and I was wondering if anyone had any experiences w/their products that they could share.

Thanks!

I collect Hot Toys. I own 6 or 7 with a few more on order. The quality is really good. They're not statues though, which means you can pose them and what not. Some come with a ton of extras, others don't. It all depends on the character really.

I think we'd need to take advantage of the payment plan for this one...

I don't even want to know what the price will be for that. But we're still waiting for the helicarrier to be released too.

That will just end up being another piece made specifically for a toy show. Replicas that don't fit in a normal person's home have a very limited market. ;D

I use Sideshow Collectibles. They offer payment plans, and you earn reward points that you can use later to get discounts. Plus they always have a ton of contests and everyone I've dealt with there has been great.

Discounts? I have enough sideshow points for a whole Hot Toy figure. Just deciding between Vision and Ant Man. Leaning towards Vision at the moment.
