My husband and I finished it last week and really enjoyed it. Now I'm going to start the books.

I've been considering reading the books as well.  I really enjoyed the show! And George RR Martin enjoyed the books too and I like his books so.... logically I would probably like these as well.  I'm typically more interested in sci fi than fantasy anyway so win/win.

I finished the TV show (really enjoyed it)  and I'm listening to the first book. They are following the book pretty closely

I haven't had a chance to check it out yet. The showrunner was at Gallifrey One this weekend. I wanted to attend the panel, but had a conflict.

I enjoyed the show. Cliched, but entertaining nonetheless. I tried reading the books [member=1291]semigeekgirl[/member]. I just couldn't get into it. Looking forward to season 2. TWD has become so disappointing that this moves to 2nd behind GoT. (As an aside, TWD was 1st going into the 2nd half of season 5. Then it just nosedived. And season 5 & 6 of GoT were not particularly strong.)
What are you, Worf? Do you tremble and quake with fear at the approach of combat? Hoping to talk your way out of a fight like a Human? Or do you hear the cry of the warrior, calling you to battle, calling you to glory like a Klingon?

our own [member=4892]miclpea[/member] also did a season one recap.  it really turned out very well.  I highly recommend it if you've seen all or parts of S1 & want to watch the s2 opener on Wednesday night. IOW, even I learned stuff reading the s1 recap.   ;)

Michael will be doing recaps focusing on incite into each episode during S2. He's read the books so can give us non-book readers some back story that hasn't made it into the tv series. This thread is where we will be discussing the episodes.

I'm reading your recaps with the idea that you're pointing out stuff we need to be paying attention to due to future developments.

btw, recaps of the first 2 eps. aired last wednesday is now posted, don't read until you've watched the show!!

Everyone, I would recommend you read all the books and novellas. They do not take away from the story or spoil the TV show. I've read all the books and novellas. They only make the show better because you realize the writers have incorporated ideas from later novels and novellas in the first year.
