LUCASFILM // SEPTEMBER 24, 2019

A GALAXY OF STAR WARS STARS COUNT DOWN TO TRIPLE FORCE FRIDAY

JOIN DAISY RIDLEY, JOHN BOYEGA, PEDRO PASCAL, GINA CARANO, AND MORE FOR A SPECIAL FIRST LOOK AT NEW STAR WARS PRODUCTS BEFORE THEY HIT SHELVES.

Lucasfilm and stars from across the Star Wars saga will be unveiling the next generation of products from a galaxy far, far away — and we would be honored if you would join us.

Tune into YouTube.com/StarWars on Thursday, September 26, at 11 a.m. PT / 2 p.m. ET for a special livestream event based at Pinewood Studios in London, the famed shooting location of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. Via live and recorded vignettes, generations of Star Wars icons will reveal new products in advance of their roll out on Triple Force Friday, October 4, all inspired by a trio of the year’s biggest Star Wars releases:

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker: The highly-anticipated final installment of the Skywalker Saga, which hits theaters December 20

The Mandalorian: The first-ever Star Wars live-action series, which will debut in the US on November 12 exclusively on Disney+, the Walt Disney Company’s new streaming service

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order: A brand-new action adventure game from Respawn, releasing November 15

The livestream celebration will feature appearances from Daisy Ridley (Rey), John Boyega (Finn), Oscar Isaac (Poe), Anthony Daniels (C-3PO), Billy Dee Williams (Lando Calrissian), Joonas Suotamo (Chewbacca), Keri Russell (Zorii), Naomi Ackie (Jannah), Kelly Marie Tran (Rose), Pedro Pascal (The Mandalorian), Gina Carano (Cara Dune in The Mandalorian), and Cameron Monaghan (Cal Kestis in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order). Livestream viewers also will be treated to the worldwide premiere of a new trailer for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, along with other special surprises from across the Star Wars galaxy. Warwick Davis, a beloved Star Wars actor known for his role as the Ewok “Wicket” in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, will serve as host during the livestream event at Pinewood Studios, while Anthony Carboni (The Star Wars Show) will helm the recorded product reveals.

Fans can join the conversation on social using Triple #ForceFriday.

Stay tuned to StarWars.com for more on Triple Force Friday!

While not the definitive ROS guide, the BMD magazines do have appealing art.

Wish the cover was a poster!

I have sympathy for all the other creators but as far as I can tell Benioff and Weiss are expert at making their own messes. I'll be actively avoiding everything with their names on it for the foreseeable future, so I'm personally glad they're off SW, no matter how it went down.

OK, I'm gonna be 'that guy.'  Of the creatives "summarily dismissed" by Lucasfilm,
Quote
Josh Trank, Colin Trevorrow, Phil Lord and Chris Miller,  David Benioff and D.B. Weiss
All but Lord & Miller were likely a great thing for the franchise.  And even Lord & Miller likely were going to do something fairly different than the normal SW film and I can 'get' why they wouldn't work out for a ginormous production like a SW film, though I can't tell you how bad I'd rather have their SOLO than the vanilla one we got instead that wasn't bad, per say, but wasn't great either: I think SOLO is the least-good, or maybe least-interesting SW film of the Disney era (see ROGUE ONE's Vader climax as a great way of providing 'Fan Service' while "oh; that's how Han got his blaster!" was just unnecessary & goofy at best).
Trank at least helped make a debacle out of Fantastic 4
Colin Trevorrow, to be blunt, has no business making a SW film, at least based on what he did with the uninspiring/mostly lazy JURASSIC WORLD (and, OMG, BOOK OF HENRY).  I don't know much about the GoT guys as I don't watch that series, but based off of things they said in a recent panel I find it shocking Lucasfilm was going to give them the keys to create a new SW series of films.

While we'll never know for sure, I think for the most part Lucasfilm has dodged bullets (her...blaster/laser bolts?) getting rid of these directors.  At the very least I don't think it's been bad to have dismissed these directors (again, with the exception of Lord & Miller who clearly didn't "gel" w/Lucasfilm's way of making a movie)

This cracks me up!  This vehicle from Mandalorian was based off of a toy from the late 1970's that I had; it had a 'sound effect' button that made the goofiest, most annoying sound that in no way came from any movie sound effect!  It cracks me up that a toy from the late 1970's that was never in a movie, was put in a streaming show (probably for fun/reference), and now is being made into a toy again.

The circle of collector life is now complete  :P

That's right - you can remove the face plate to reveal Zorii's eyes, as seen in #StarWarsTheRiseOfSkywalker. Didn't pre-order this premium figure? The #Force is still with you.
