Returning registration varies. For 2018 it was on October 28 2017. For 2017 it occurred in March 2017 but that was unusually late.

That being said, being a volunteer does not qualify you for returning registration. You will need to try during open registration which can occur anytime between late 2018 and spring 2019. It was in December last time.

Your last sentence - do you mean as an attendee or as a volunteer? This year, I was both. Attendee for 3 days and volunteer for 1. Being a volunteer does not automatically qualify me for the priority list or do you mean as an attendee?

If you paid for a badge for any day this year, you qualify for returning registration. :)

Ah, yes! This was my 7th year as an attendee, but my first as a volunteer so I'm just trying to clear up some information I've read in passing.  :)

I just wanted to confirm that all volunteers get put on a priority registration list to volunteer again next year? And, if there's an email I should be looking out for?

Thanks for the input :)

I am sorry I totally misunderstood you. Yes you are correct that anyone who volunteered this year gets priority volunteer sign up for 2019. Other people who wish to volunteer will have the opportunity to apply in the spring.

It was an email that was sent to those on the priority list last year with the date range for registering.

I included all the dates from last year's thread in the OP for reference, but there is no guarantee it will be the same time period.

When the email for sign ups for the '19 Interest List (for first timers) goes out, that will be the time to log in to our Member ID account and confirm a green check mark for "CCI 19 Priority Volunteer Reg" appears.

But on the 2018 volunteer discussion, I thought I read that an email was sent to priority volunteers. Did I misinterpret?

Example:

I just have one more question. I'm a priority volunteer, and quoting the email
"You are guaranteed admission to our Comic-Con 2018 volunteer program if you register prior to the deadline."
Does this mean that I can register ANYTIME after Monday October 30, and before November 10 and still have a spot? It's just to be clear. I don't want to mess this up

Just want to be clear, since the question was whether there was a particular email for the priority volunteers.

Priority(returning) volunteers do get an email about priority volunteer registration. The process is analogous to returning attendees versus new attendees. If I remember right, last year we got the priority volunteer registration email in the middle of October for priority volunteer registration at the end of October.

For actual Registration, Absolutely correct!

I was trying to clarify the last part at the end,

It seems the interest list comes out first, again looking at the first post? Is that for returning or first-timers?

There's no update yet on the member ID account about the priority status (at least not in mine).

With two days to go, predicting a temporary member ID shut down soon to update that information...
