I can see it now. There will be one left in a store, [member=314]Transmute Jun[/member] and I will show up at either end of the Target aisle and spot it at the same time. Someone else gets a call on their phone one aisle over, it's an Ennio Morricone ringtone ...

Here's a question, why would a ghost Qui Gon Jinn have a ghost lightsaber?

Fortunately, we live at opposite ends of the Bay Area... ;)

Here's another question, why is Qui Gon Jinn so popular? He's only in the worst damn movie of the franchise.

Mark and TJ, they should fight for the item. Meanwhile, I would be in the background playing "Duel of the Fates". Lol  ;)

I think it's the normal version from NYCC what's doing it. People didn't get it so want this one. Btw, the hardest one to get is Luke. Surprise not much talk about that item in other places online.

The Luke one is cool. TBH, I've never really cared a great deal for Luke. Even as a kid I just always thought he was a big annoying whiner. I hope they make him an actual badass in the next movie.

I know we're joking about the spaghetti western style faceoffs for collectibles but I've experienced far too many of them going back to 2005.  There's quite the rogue's gallery of resellers in the Los Angeles area and one in particular I run into way too much even though I've moved within the past few years.   In the early days, he would have the nerve to offer whatever it was I was after for double the retail cost but nowadays there are zero pleasantries exchanged between us.

For whatever reason, he seems to be treated like royalty by TRU, Target and Walmart employees and while I've never seen him hoarding Funko product, I wouldn't be surprised if he were buying out entire store inventories of exclusives.

Yes, unfortunately, the toy scalpers build relationships with workers at these places. Even if they don't, often workers at the stores start to get wise to the toy flipping market. I am in a local FB group for toy collectors and we got this guy who works at Wal-Mart who is always posting pics of new cases of toys in there and asking which ones are the hottest ones.....JUST BECAUSE HE WANTS TO BUY AND SCALP THEM. It's infuriating. I collect, but I'm casual and I absolutely will not buy anything aftermarket.

Heads up, the Rey Speeder exclusive keeps going in and out of stock. Just keep refreshing the page and good luck!

Btw, I, too, have come across a few folks that buy everything to only sell later. Luckily, I know how to beat them and it works. Still can't believe I have to be in Comic-Con mode for the collectible stuff, though.

Rey keeps disappearing from stock before I can check out. Walmart site is really slow ...

Thank you for thinking about me.  I actually got them at the celebration.  Turned out not to be a popular item.  I see it as I picked correctly!

No way, I'll be using a coward's strategy. I'll point and yell "It's Grant Gustin! Hi Grant!!! GRANT GUSTIN EVERYONE!" then grab the funko and run away. No luck at all with the Qui Gon ghost, so whatever data feed brickfeed is tied in to isn't working for that product. For some other Star Wars items Target itself was showing availability in stores that was not accurate, kind of frustrating.

Make sure to ask, they tend to keep them hidden in the back and only give them out one per a customer.

I asked a few people at each store. The inventory system for the store itself (which seemed to sometimes be different from what the Target website and app showed) also showed no stock. For the "Star Wars The Black Series 40th Anniversary Legacy Pack" for example, Target shows availability at a store but the store inventory itself won't have it. If you go to customer service to ask them to look, they will show nothing at their store but see availability at other stores, but if they call up those stores they won't have it either.
