We should have Game of Thrones panel this year. They are filming over the summer. And there are cast members attending other cons

True Blood? If that's so, that will be GREAT. Wonder who else besides Kristin would go?

The Next Level Video: Ubisoft Starts an eSports Competition

by John Llewellyn Martin August 26, 2013 1:07 PM

Ubisoft is set to launch The Next Level, which is the company’s foray into the world of eSports competitions.

The video above is an announcement trailer that hypes up the competition. Ubisoft plans to run The Next Level at several fan-favorite events such as PAX, PAX East, E3, San Diego Comic Con, New York Comic Con and a whole lot more.

Participants can play at these events or compete online from the comfort of their own couches. Games to be featured in the decathlon-styled competition include Just Dance 2014, The Crew, Splinter Cell: Blacklist, Trials Evolution, Rayman Legends, The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot, and the Assassin’s Creed series.

Gamers can compete for swag, scholarships, trips to events and the chance to meet the developers of the games.

Watch the video above, courtesy of Polygon, and look out for the official launch of The Next Level at PAX Prime later this week. What do you think about Ubisoft’s competition? Would you take part in it? Let us know in the comments.

In the email that went out, a Power Rangers panel on Sunday was mentioned but nothing else about it.

It sounds like people are starting to get more information about their approved panels:

@NY_Comic_Con attendees! Join us for @TheMarySue Presents Representation In Geek Media - Saturday, October 12 - 2:45 PM - 3:45 PM

and I know a friend is having his "Cosplay but can't sew" panel on Friday from 1:45-2:45.

I'll be presenting at that panel again, like we did at C2E2. :D It's a great panel guys--and we cover everything from utter novices to the cosplay advanced.

Not necessarily a panel, but i wish they could get the Javitts to stay open late on Sunday and show the season premier of The Walking Dead in the IGN theater. Imagine watching the new episode with 3,000 other fans at the same time

Then they should have Chris Hardick do the Talkin Dead from the IGN theater. "We're here live with 3,000 deadheads from NYCC for the Talking Dead..." Crowd screams, awesome time is had.
