SDCC 2016 Hotel Discussion, July 21st to July 24th
« on: July 15, 2015, 02:38:23 PM »
It's that time of year to start thinking about hotels for next year

Manchester Grand Hyatt already has rooms available for the crazy rate of $699 per night and up

EDIT (by alyssa):
modified title

EDIT (by Zero):
Second title change "CCI" to "SDCC" to match with the forum's most recent organization.

I'm seeing $719+.

BTW--did anyone notice that new hotel under construction called the Pendry?  It's supposed to open next year.  I wonder if it will be on the Comic con list or separate from it.  A long, long time ago I got into the Hard Rock the first year as soon as they opened reservations.  They weren't a CC hotel that year.

I found their website.  Not much on it, but I got myself put on their email list.  It's not a big chain, but it's supposed to be a luxury 5-star hotel.

It's an easy google search.

I am thinking strongly abt a downtown hotel next year...

How much do the bookend dates usuall end up being? Half of the TP rates?

I was able to book the Hilton Bayfront for $159 for Tuesday and $179 on Sunday.

Hard Rock was $102/night for Monday and Tuesday before, and $138 for Sunday after.   TP rate was $308.  This  does not include taxes and the "All Access Pass" fee.

We stayed at the Manchester Grand Hyatt Sunday 5th-Wednesday 8th for a prepaid rate of $169 a night. They did not make us change rooms on Wednesday.

I did the same thing last year at the Wyndham Bayfront. Paid $129 a night for Mon - Wed. Again we didn't have to change rooms. I think they actually upgraded our first room to the SDCC room type. That was not a prepaid rate either.
