I’ve not bought any prints yet, though many have been tempting. Just curious, how do you guys display all the prints you buy? I haven’t started yet because I simply don’t have a huge amount of wall space and unfortunately no man cave to decorate.

If you have limited wall space, you might consider a frame that you could just rotate prints from time to time. A lot of people like You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login because they are front loading and easier to swap stuff out from time to time. You could grab a You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login if you want to store posters that aren't on your wall, or you could store them in a "foam core sandwich", which bit more cost effective. Just grab two large pieces of acid free foam at your local craft store, slide your posters in with some tissue or kraft paper between them, then get some big binder clips and clamp the sides together.

If you find yourself with some wall space, you can grab cheap frames from Michaels (or any other store) and use those. The You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login even for large poster sizes are pretty damn cheap. That being said - they don't have real glass, just a flimsy piece of plastic... which is fine for most of the stuff released these days but I still don't like them that much. You can get a new piece of glass for the Belmots, but if you are going to do all that you should just get a different frame, imo. I normally grab mid-tier poster frames (around ~$40-50) for a majority of my stuff simply because I prefer to have more art on my walls then in storage.

Of course, thats more difficult than it sounds once you start collecting, I believe I have about ~50 things framed up and still have two huge foam-core sandwiches under my bed that need to go up in frames :-X

There will be times when it'll be a good idea to invest in a custom frame - but you'll know when that time comes. Posters with foil shouldn't be touching the glass, posters with small run numbers (mainly private commissions) should be handled with more caution, special con releases, etc etc.... but more often than not for general releases; an inexpensive frame will do just fine.

At last but not least - if you don't have the wall space - start small. There are tons of artists like Mike Mitchell, Jason Edmiston, Becky Cloonan (the list goes on), and galleries (Hero Complex, G1998, etc...) that have much smaller art than traditional poster art that is just as great (if not better) than a lot of the mainstream poster releases these days.

....and don't forgot to brace yourself for poster collecting wormhole..., and your wallet.  >:D

Hmm...ok, gonna take your lead [member=1]alyssa[/member]...just pick 6...we'll see...

Worth getting them framed direct through them or no?
