Ace Parking will be running the same lottery process we ran last year and the lottery registration period is now open. If you are not familiar with the lottery process, more information is provided below.
Entries for the lottery will be accepted until May 5th. We will hold the lottery drawing on May 6th and divide the selected entries into groups.
On May 13th the system will be opened and restricted to the people in group 1 only. Each week thereafter the system will be opened to the next group until all groups have had a chance to purchase their permits. At the end of the group sales, the system will be opened to the general public.
Each group will have a full week to purchase their permits. Last year there were still plenty of permits available in the system when it opened for the general public. Everyone that participated in the lottery was able to get a permit for parking. We cannot guarantee a spot at any particular location and some locations are a lot more popular than others, however, all locations are within easy walking distance of the Convention Center.
In an effort to stop the sign-up spamming that we have experienced in the past, this year again, we are requiring that you enter a valid credit card as part of the sign-up process. YOUR CARD WILL NOT BE CHARGED, however, we will run a pre-authorization against it to ensure it is valid.
You can sign-up two times per valid credit card using the same or different email addresses.
If you have an existing account on our system, please log into it first before you click on the link for the below.
You can find the sign-up form here: https://space.aceparking.com/site/comicConSignup
If you have any questions, please send them to
Thank you,

Comic-Con 2019 FAQ
Your assigned group number does not guarantee specific locations. The probability of getting parking at your ideal location is dependent on a variety of factors, including:
1. The amount of inventory given to us to sell to the public by the venue. This may change year to year.
2. The number of vendors who purchase parking. This may change year to year.
3. The number of people who participate in the lottery and allocated to each group. This changes from year to year.
4. The time at which you log in to the system compared to others and secure parking.
Q: What locations will be included in the sale this year?
A: The locations participating in this year’s sale are included below.
Q: What is the link to the site selling the permits?
A: https://space.aceparking.com/events We are releasing the link to the site that will be selling the permits ahead of time so you will be able to get familiar with the site and set up an account in the system if you so choose. The permits will be sold by our reservation website at space.aceparking.com. The link to the page that will be selling the permits in the system is https://space.aceparking.com/events/. Credit cards are not stored on the site and the site is fully PCI compliant.
Q: What are the operating hours for the lots?
A: Most lots will open for drive up business at the times below, however, there may be cases when the lots open for permit holders only and do not open for drive up sales until later in the morning. Each lot is different and works to maintain a balance between the reserved spaces and extra inventory.
Convention Center, Hilton Bayfront garage, Padres Parkade, Diamond View Towers: 5am – 2am
Tailgate Park, Triangle, MTS: 5am – 2am
707 Broadway: 4pm on Friday until 6am on Saturday. Saturday 6am – 12am and Sunday 6am – 6pm. No overnight camping.
Q: What is the decal number field in the user account setup?
A: The decal number field is for Associates of Ace Parking Only and you can leave it blank.
Q: Do the lots offer over-sized vehicle parking?
A: No, vehicles over 18 feet will be turned away and not allowed to park even with a valid permit. Sorry.
Q: Does my permit include in-and-out privileges for the day?
A: No, in-and-out privileges are not allowed. If you leave the lot your space will become available for another drive-up customer to park in. Sorry.
Q: Does the online system require me to set up an account to purchase my permits?
A: Yes. You will need to set up an account during the checkout process. Your account will enable system features such as the ability to print your permit in the future, and tie all purchased permits to a single barcode that you can carry on your smart device for use at scanner equipped lots. Your account will be available for future purchases for parking at next year’s Comic-Con and other events with the same barcode assigned to you which will be replenished with future permit purchases as they are made.
Q: Will the system allow me to purchase multiple permits per day?
A: No. Each account is restricted to one permit per day for Comic-Con. If you need to purchase more than one permit, you will need to set up multiple accounts.
Q: Is there a way to purchase Comic-Con permits other than online?
A: The only way you can purchase advance parking permits for Comic-Con from Ace Parking is through the online system. However, the majority of the lots included in the online sale and others that are not included will be available for drive-up parking the day of the event. Drive up availability will be first come, first served for the remaining spaces not reserved online. The lots are expected to fill up fast. If you are planning to find parking the day of the event, you should get there early.
Q: Can cars be parked overnight? Or just during the hours of the event?
A: Overnight parking is not permitted. The lots close at 2 am and reopen at 6 am (Convention Center opens at 5 am). They close so they can be prepared for the next day. Most lots are pre-sold to full capacity each day, so any cars on the lot after 2 am, will be towed at the owner’s expense.
Q: What if I drive a different car on the day of the event?
A: This year there is no need to enter details about your vehicle when you purchase your permit. The program doesn’t even prompt for them. We only request that you place a copy of your printed permit on your dashboard so it can be scanned by our lot enforcement personnel.
Q: Can I make a copy of my permit and give it to my friend?
A: No. The permits are lot specific and can only be redeemed once. If a copy is found, the vehicle will be ticketed. If you’ve copied your permit and given it to a friend, the second permit scanned will be in violation and that may end up being your car. The permits are barcoded and lot enforcement personnel will be making the rounds scanning/redeeming them.
Q: Handicap Parking?
A: ADA spaces are first come first served. The Convention Center and Hilton Bay Front are the best choices for ADA parking.
Q: Will the passes sold online include a fee?
A: Yes, a convenience fee will be added per permit per day at checkout.
Q: Why am I being charged a convenience fee?
A: Yes, we do our best to make pre-purchasing parking as easy as possible so that fans can reserve parking ahead of time online. The convenience fee covers resources spent on making this option available and include, web hosting, ticketing hardware, customer support, training, credit and debit card processing services, merchant fees, computer hardware and software, telephone lines, labor and more.
Q: If I send in multiple entries from multiple email accounts that I own and win one of them, can I purchase my permit with any of the emails I registered with or only the one that won?
A: Only the one that won. Your winning email address must be registered in the account you are going to use to purchase the permits. The purchase process will require you to log into your account first and will validate your email address. If your email address matches one on the selected list, you will be given the option to purchase a permit at the lot your name was drawn for. If there is no match, the option to purchase a permit will not be available to you.
Q: Can I register for the drawing with an email address that I haven’t registered an account within the permit system?
A: Yes. Accounts in the permit system are separate from the registration emails. If one of the email accounts you entered from is selected to purchase a permit, you have the option to create an account for that email address or update your existing account with that email address to qualify for the purchase option.
Q: If my entry is selected for a lot, can I purchase a permit for multiple days or just a single day?
A: When you enter the system to purchase your permit, you will have the option to purchase permits for all five days during the show (preview night and four show days.)
Q: Can I register multiple times for the lottery?
A: Yes and no, the system will accept your entries, but the drawing will be restricted to one entry per email address.

Another Year.. Another way for scalpers to make money off Comic Con Attendees. Until they fix their crappy "Lotto" not going to bother....
-
Hi guys, I wanted to make sure everyone knew that the ACE Parking lottery for Comic Con 2019 is up and available for all to enter the lottery, not sure if this link was already posted or not but here it is;
https://space.aceparking.com/site/comicConSignup
Thanks,
Dave

While the link above says 2019, I'd wait for an official update from Ace Parking or a page update. Just to make sure all entries fall in the authorized submission time period and not get invalidated.
Meanwhile, may be a good time to review account emails and check on credit card info.

argggg......
the dreaded lotto parking gauntlet is almost upon us

Looks like they took the page down, shows a 404 error.

Looks like things will be in full swing soon. Thanks for the heads up, parking is super important for me!

I'm ready to help as well as looking for a couple of spots myself.
-
Securing under-convention center parking is so important for me that I will gladly drop $300 again this year on the secondary market (eBay) if I can’t score them myself during the general sale.
I live in San Diego and don’t need a hotel – thus, the convenience factor of being able to do quick drop-offs and get back to the hall cannot be overstated.
-
We will be doing the parking threads like we did last year for folks who happen to get spots and would like to pay it forward to someone else on the board.
The parking will be in the open area. As always long time folks tend to favor folks who've been around here for a while
I've almost been a resident of SD for a year so, yeah parking is KEY
i will be curious to see if Ace has implemented anything new this year. I throw that out there so folks aren't surprised if there are changes.
-
Hopefully, what ever their issue was last year doesn't repeat itself.

Convention Center was sold out in like an hour.....the previous year it lasted through the first 2 groups. It worked for me though, I was forced to Bayfront and actually liked it more than Convention Center

Thanks for the explanation!
Curious, what did you like more about HBF parking? I may consider that as an option, as well!

I believe the underground sold out so quick because the sale opened early and there where suggestions that other groups were able to buy. That was never proven to ACE tho, since i suspect, no one in group 2 who had gotten a spot wanted to draw attention to the fact that they got in early.
^^^^ that is speculation to as we don't know how many people are in group 1 etc
-
Is underground great to park in or is it really hard to get in and out of with traffic coming and going? I used 6th and K last year which is very close and easy to get in and out of.

it depends on when you arrive and where you're coming from/going to. The key is drive as little as possible in the gaslamp area
-
I was in Group 1 last year and, on a hunch, I attempted to purchase parking spaces 15 minutes before they said they would open and was successful.

Ok guys, now the ACE Parking Lottery link is up;

-
Signed up three emails hoping to get a good group.
-
I guess I forgot my password at Ace and I'm asking it to reset and it says it's emailing me, but I am not getting the email. When I tried to set up a new account, it tells me I already have one, so that's a bust too I guess.
-
Got signed up, but there seems to be a glitch with the “account settings”. After creating an account I’m trying to update my address info, and it keeps prompting me to enter a new password...oh well.
Guess I either don’t need to enter address info in at all, or perhaps they’ll ask for it during the point-of-sale.
-
I forget, was there the credit card requirement last year?
-
I forget, was there the credit card requirement last year?
Yes, they did the same thing last year.
-
They said that this year they were going to authorize the cards, to make sure that they were valid.
-
Being that I have six credit cards and one debit card and that you're not allowed to enter more than two for each, I only entered 14 E-mail addresses. Worse gets to worse, I'll use either Uber or Lyft. The upside with ride-sharing is they can let me off anywhere in the event of road closures. I just need one for myself and one for my sister-in-law.
-
I only entered 14 E-mail addresses.
I hope you took advantage of sub-addressing introduced with RFC 5233. It makes doing that much more manageable.

It allows you to make as many email addresses from a single email account as you want. So instead of having 14 different accounts to manage, you can have 14 different email addresses all delivering email to one account. Say your address is . Email sent to addresses like , to would all be delivered to . The special character can be different for different email providers. For gmail it's the plus sign. What is after the plus sign can be anything. It can be for example. It's a convenient way to have multiple email addresses for signing up for things or for disposable email addresses to avoid spam.

If needed, are you able to modify your payment method at the time of actual sale?
We were able to modify the payment at the time of sale but I can only speak from my experience with the lottery from last year. Actually, I let my sister use my Group 1 email so she could use her cc to pay for her parking, while on the other hand, I opted for using public transit.
-
Who remembers last year when Hilton bayfront parking sold out. Last year I was in group 2 and that parking worked good for me.
-
On the off chance I can’t get under-con parking this year, HBF will definitely be my second choice. It’s a very pleasant walk from the exhibit hall, and I can get some much needed sunshine :)
-

That was weird. I lucked out, when I first opened the page it was sold out. I refreshed the page a couple times and all days popped back up so I grabbed them real quick.

Ok, I'm mildly confused. On the SDCC blog, it states that you can sign up two times per email. On the ACE site, it says you can sign up twice with each credit card. Does this mean that you can put in the identical email/credit card information twice for two entries? Or does one of them have to be different for each entry?
Thanks.
-
If you get a parking permit and your plans change, is there any way to get a refund?

there is but as [member=2173]Louie_rob_m[/member] said, if you've got underground or Hilton parking, you should have NO problem finding someone to take it off your hands on this site- we have a lot of locals/commuters here.

I'm gonna do it twice based on the tweet from Ace. So have Two accounts, two emails. Same credit card on both. Four entries. Max two winning spots?

I'm not reading it the same way, to me it seems like the credit card is the unique factor. e.g. 1 credit card = 2 entries. The 2 entries can be dealer's choice, same/different accts, email addys, etc.
What they are not saying is what happens if you overdo it. does the system stop counting after the first 2? flag them all and throw them out? do nothing? does it matter? would love to know!
-
[member=2173]Louie_rob_m[/member] You just get an automated message saying you've already used that card or email twice. I got it bc Chrome accidentally autofilled my default card once when I was trying to input a different one.

Well, then, back to two entries, same as last year (and I got a Group 3 last year out of two entries).
-
If we are lucky enough to get chosen in the lottery, can we switch cards when we actually pay for the parking?
Yes, you can charge a different card when you pay for the parking.
-
I'm confused on this -- it says in their FAQ:
Q: Can I register multiple times for the lottery?
A: Yes and no, the system will accept your entries, but the drawing will be restricted to one entry per email address.
But it also says you can use the "same or different emails" with a card.

I'm confused on this -- it says in their FAQ:
But it also says you can use the "same or different emails" with a card.

I've wondered the same thing.

I think they're trying to say that the system will accept multiple entries from the same email but when it comes to drawing that email only counts for one no matter how many times you enter with it. You can enter multiple emails for multiple entries however.

Ah...thanks. I think I'm getting it. They are just saying that a single email can only win the drawing once. Totally confused me.
-
Yes, I was trying to pair my credit/debit card with specific emails but accidentally used one card across two emails so instead of a hoped for 6 entries total it only came out to 5. Ah well. At least the paring of car and email cuts down on the the spoof emails that were used tom enter the first couple of years.

Bump for reminder, from: https://aceparking.com/comic-con/
Entries for the lottery will be accepted until May 5th. We will hold the lottery drawing on May 6th and divide the selected entries into groups.

For those of us who are newbees to the SDCC and SD generally, any tips as to what lots are better than others? I hate traffic. So easy in and out would be ideal. I'm staying in the Mission Valley area. Thanks.
-
The convention center and Hilton Bayfront garages are usually the most desirable/closest to the action. After that, the PetCo lot is a good choice.

Agreed with a word of caution on conv center parking - they close exits after a certain time of night and the only exit is the one that is shared with Marriott, so all of their traffic and Ubers are trying to leave too. I have waited 45 mins to get out of that parking lot after Fundays
-
I just signed up for parking for a few friends.
Last year, I met up with another friend by chance and he told me that he was sleeping in his car for SDCC to save money for exclusives. I was shocked! He had parking for all days, so he would get to the con first thing in the morning, stay until it closed, then drive around to a supermarket and sleep for a few hours, wake up early and do it all over again the next morning. I asked if he wanted to stay with me, but he politely declined. I don't know where he was showering or freshening up (maybe a local gym), but I thought it was a crazy story to save money.

I’ve really been a fan of the 6th and K Parkade across from the Omni after the big two. It’s not currently listed on the ACE SDCC page yet (under the question regarding lot operating hours), but in years past that list hasn’t been exhaustive so I’d expect it to show up along with several others when they release the table with the daily pricing.
And to answer a previous post that I don’t think had been answered yet: you can change the payment method to any credit card if chosen.

That’s not too bad. I thought people camping out by Hall H or in the everything else line instead of getting a hotel was crazy. Many people do that. At least a car is a step up.

There is an update dated May 3
UPDATE: 5/3/19
The lottery sign-up will be ending this Sunday at midnight. Emails will be sent to all emails registered in the system with either group assignment or the not drawn message.
The entries will be organized into four groups. Group 1 will be able to purchase their parking reservations on May 13th and will have the whole week to do so. Group 2 will gain access to the system on May 20th and have the whole week to do so. We will continue in this fashion through Group 4 and then the system will be opened to the public. Good luck to everyone who entered! For many, procuring parking can be the final logistical hurdle.
I imagine we'll be getting emails tomorrow or Tuesday.
-
Does anyone have experience with 6th and K? Is it easy to get in and out?
-
Does anyone have experience with 6th and K? Is it easy to get in and out?
It's one of the closer lots to the convention center, so in that regard it is convenient. In terms of getting in and out of the garage, it's pretty straightforward.
The only thing worth mentioning is that it is on the other side of the train tracks from the convention center...so if for any reason there's a trolley or train coming through, you'd need to wait -- or walk the long detour over to the Harbor Drive pedestrian bridge.
-
So we are thinking if Ace is doing the drawing tomorrow that we may also know the results tomorrow?
-
I actually find this part more stressful than the hotel part. A good parking location can save a crappy hotel, but unless you're at Bayfront or Gaslamp or something, your hotel won't save you from crappy parking.
-
So we are thinking if Ace is doing the drawing tomorrow that we may also know the results tomorrow?
Last year Ace accepted entries into the parking lottery until April 22 with the results emailed out on April 24. Hope that helps.
-
One thing to consider about which lot to select -- assuming that Harbor is closed again in front of the convention center -- if you are coming from the Embassy Suites, Shelter Island/Harbor Island, Liberty Station, Residence Inn Downtown/Bayfront, etc (would this be northwest of convention center? ), you won't be able to use Harbor to get to Hilton Bayfront, lots near Petco, etc. You'll have to take some of the other roads around to get to these. Not necessarily a huge deal but no one had this info (about Harbor being closed) prior to last year's parking selection. In our case last year, we purposely pick Hilton Bayfront when we could have picked convention center parking and it did add to our travel time coming in each morning.
Of course, picking a lot depends heavily on which group you're in and what's available, but if you're lucky to get group 1 or group 2, it's good to keep which direction you're coming from in mind.

Just got an email from Ace -- Group 1! I am ecstatic!

Group 1 here too!
For future reference, email hit at 10:12 AM PT

A Group 1 here as well!

Yeah, Baby, Yeah!!!!
Group one here as well.

So group 1 has already gone out...man that sucks. :(
If I make it into group 2, what are the chances of getting the convention center or the hilton for parking?
Also, does anyone know what the convenience fee is?

I got a group 2.

Yay for the Group 1s!
A friend just got a Group 2.

Your chances of nabbing HBF parking in Group 2 should be pretty good, I surmise.
Certainly some -- but possibly not all -- days, at the very least.

We've had that group in the past and we were able to get it (for at least some of our days) and Hilton Bayfront for the rest.
-
If we get Convention Center parking what's the best time to arrive / leave each day?
-
Group 3s are going out.
-
I have a Group 3 email. I will not be needing parking, so will most likely be giving whatever I get away if needed.

Last year I had 2 group 1's
This year 1ea Group 1 and 1ea Group 3

Perhaps she signed up just in case she was staying far away. I signed up to help others out. Anyway, got group 3. Not sure how much help I'll be.

Maybe they signed up for the lottery before they got their Hotel results? Or maybe they entered the lottery to help out somebody else?
Not sure why the accusatory tone is necessary here.

I got Group 3, I'm hoping there will be Convention or Hilton parking left, but I'm doubtful about those prospects.

Presumptuous.

I don't want a argue either :). With a light-hearted tone: It's one line on a forum post, not a work of literature. Which, btw, would have other factors that would hint to tone...the whole show don't tell thing. The actions of the characters, etc. But I'm assuming you know that ;).
I did roll my eyes, though. Lol.

I'm reading through some of the old posts from last year. It looks like group 4 had some limited choices for close parking. So group 3 may still have a chance at a decent selection.

Last year when I had extras, I went into the actual account, removed my cc info, and temporarily changed the password. Then gave email address and password to the person that was buying it.

Yes, we are in the process of setting up a parking exchange thread, so that people who need parking can request a slot.
-
Shut out for parking. Anyone with extra group 1-3 parking they are willing to pass on. Lmk thank you
-
I got a group 1 for the first time ever! Now I have to decide between the Convention Center and HBF - I like both - driving from La Mesa or Normal Heights. Convention Center is more convenient for dumping purchase loads - but HBF is closer to the morning lines.
-
So I've never done this before but I wanted to try and help out anyone on the forums with getting a parking spot. I just got an email saying that I got into group 3, but I'm going to be traveling on the sale date for that group. Is there any way I can give someone else my slot before the sale? How does exchanging parking spots work?

To exchange a parking spot, you have to give the account login information to the recipient. They will have to login to the account and purchase the parking.
Keep in mind that the credit card used to enter the lottery will be on the account. The recipient needs to ensure that they enter THEIR OWN credit card information to make the purchase.
-
The hard part this year, is even if you wanted to transfer, there's already your credit card info in the system, so being a nice guy could really backfire.

But, you can change the credit card info during the point-of-sale.

Of the 14 E-mails I sent out, I got two Group 2s, two Group 3s, one Group 4, nothing in six E-mails and locked out of three other E-mails. I'll need both of my Group 2s for myself and my sister-in-law. Sorry I don't have any additional Group 1s or Group 2s to share.

It is against FoCC forum policy to offer any compensation other than cost. However, there is a parking exchange where you can ask for available spots.

It is only for cost. I also just meant if they needed help with lines for hall h or if they need something that I may have I'd give it to them (ie. An exclusive thst I may have)
But if it's against policy, my bad.

UPDATE: 5/6/19
All emails have been sent out including those that were not selected for the sale. The group 1 sale starts on May 13th at 10 AM.
-
To exchange a parking spot, you have to give the account login information to the recipient. They will have to login to the account and purchase the parking.
Keep in mind that the credit card used to enter the lottery will be on the account. The recipient needs to ensure that they enter THEIR OWN credit card information to make the purchase.
Arrgggh, I just logged in and checked and there really is no way to remove my credit card info. Bummer. But it also looks like you have to re-enter the credit card info anyway on check-out, there is no "use saved CC info" option. Looks like email address can also be changed. I think I'm willing to try giving someone else my account login info and just having them change the email and password on it.

Keep in mind that there is a little 'leverage'. While the recipient can potentially use the donor's credit card to purchase parking, the donor could log back into the account and cancel the parking passes.
But yes, there is definitely personal information being exchanged, and everyone should be sensitive to that. Only offer/accept a parking pass from someone you trust.

That's so cool. Do OnPeak and Ace Parking recognize all those as separate email addresses?
-
That's so cool. Do OnPeak and Ace Parking recognize all those as separate email addresses?
I did it and got like 10 different emails back from them, so I think so.
-
I signed up for parking, but turns out I don't need it. I got into group 4. I doubt I'll get anything good, but I'm willing to try if anyone's interested!
-
That's so cool. Do OnPeak and Ace Parking recognize all those as separate email addresses?
A few years ago, OnPeak mistakenly forgot to BCC the email addresses on the parking lottery emails. On the Group 1 emails, there was one guy who had 20-30 emails that were all practically identical (something like , , etc.). There was a lot of flak on social media, and the next year Ace started the 'must have a credit card attached' method. I don't think they really care themselves, but they want the appearance of not having too many entries per person.
-
If I'm able to purchase parking at the Convention Center what are the best times to arrive / leave each day? I've been a 6th and K and it's pretty easy to get in an out of.

i usually get there when they open... but last year i messed up (adult bevys one or two nights) and got there later,
come in from the north, go past the hyatt, traveling south, it's usually the best way :)
it wasn't bad at all -

Man... only 4 groups. Will be interesting to see how this plays out this year. CC and BF seem to sell out faster every year.

Question. Does anyone know how the Hilton Bayfront handles separate parking for guests? Obviously I will do overnight parking since I am a guest, but Ace says no overnight parking.
I did get a group 1 selection for the ACE parking, which I entered before the hotel lottery in which I got the Hilton Bayfront.
Thanks all, starting to get Con-excited.
-
Parking at the Hilton Bayfront is all part of your reservation. They will check your name against a guest list when you arrive (or you can show them your reservation on paper or your phone). Then you just inform the front desk that you have a vehicle in the parking garage when you check in. Guests can absolutely park overnight (I never move my car at all for the duration). The parking charges will appear on your bill when you check out.
-
Do you know what the Hilton Bayfront charges for guest parking?

Just called them and overnight parking for guests is $35 (self-park) or $50 (valet).

Can someone please remind me...is there a special link Ace sends out specifically to reserve parking during SDCC dates?
Or is it simply a matter of logging into their main site below, being sure to do so with the winning email address?

So a couple years ago we stayed at the Hilton Bayfront and we also got parking for the Bayfront( I think that year the parking was done before hotels? Im not sure) so we told them at check in that we had a car. When we checked out we told them that we had Ace parking pass and they took the parking charged off our bill. I hope it still works the same lol. We are staying there agin this year also and got group 2. I know Id rather pay $20 instead of $35 lol.
-
That's risky, though, since people using an Ace permit are not allowed to park overnight. The Bayfront would have been within its rights to charge you anyway.

Well we parked with the hotel guests but had the parking code because we already had it. Never actually scanned it and the hotel never asked to see it just removed the parking from our bill.
-
So how does the hotel differentiate between a guest and ACE parking? Is there something the hotel has you put in the window?
-
The hotel makes you show your reservation (or get checked off a list they have) to get into the hotel guest section of parking. Ace permit holders are required to display their permits on their dashboards. So technically Miterin used the hotel guest parking but only paid for the Ace permit area (and should have been required to take the car out of the garage every night for whatever hours the permit doesn't cover). It's low risk, but since they actually used the "guest" parking if the hotel had wanted to make an issue of it they could have refused to remove it from the bill and been in the right. Which would have brought the cost up to $55/night if you had to pay for both.
-
So then it is a different section in the garage. I have group 1 ACE and probably could get the Hilton parking, but I don't think it is worth the risk.
Maybe they made an exception because he got the packing before the hotels were offered. That does make a good argument.

Apologies in advance, the writing will be a little dense because I'm going to use the words password, update and link about a million times.
I was running into the same exact issue. I received two error messages even though I am certain I am using the correct password. The first was "This password did not match the password store on the ace parking app. Please reset your password." After hitting submit again, the second error message was "Error 400. The CSRF token could not be verified."
Basically, I came up with two options to get around this issue, neither of which seem super ideal (or airtight...):
1. You get logged in if you generate a "Forgot Password?" link (https://space.aceparking.com/site/requestLogin) and update the password through the subsequent link you're e-mailed. However, each time I logged out and tried to log back in to test the updated password, I get the two error messages above. So, since the Space website logs you out automatically after a certain time - at least it does for me - use the link in the password reset e-mail you receive just before your group goes on sale (it says one-time link, but I'm pretty sure you can use it over and over again); if you want to be certain, generate another "Forget Password?" e-mail just before the sale and use that link. You should then be fine until/unless you log out again :(
2. So #1 was going to be my original plan, such as it is. However, After a series of e-mails, I finally got a hold over the phone of an Ace employee to help me out. If you're in Group 1, it's unlikely you'd be able to get someone to resolve the issue in time (I'll PM you the contact info if you want to try Monday morning). The employee was able to eliminate the error messages, but for fear of triggering them again, I am not changing my password.
--------
NOTE: Something I've experienced: If you try to change your info under "Edit Account" (https://space.aceparking.com/site/updateAccount) it won't let you save/update your address without updating your password, just enter the current password again in all the password fields ("Existing Password," "New Password" and "Verify New Password"). You're allowed to "update" your password without actually changing it.
If you're trying method #1, the "update your password without actually updating it" on the Edit Account page may also work on the password reset link you get e-mailed after hitting "Forgot Password". You may be able to "reset" your password through the link without actually resetting it. I haven't actually tried that method yet (only thought of it as I type this up), but I also don't want to risk breaking my account again.
Fun times!

I am in Group 1 and I checked my Ace Parking log in this morning on two browsers and it seems to work - here's hoping that it works this coming week.

Since Ace reduced the number of parking groups this year, what do you think the chances of group 2 or 3 even getting parking at the Convention Center or Bayfront Hilton is?

I feel like group 2 may have a chance, but group 3? Doubt it. I think group 3 would be equivalent to group 4 or 5 of Last yr. I'm hoping that I'm wrong.

Thanks bought my parking and hope it doesn't come back and bite me,I heard 1 year same thing happened,
that another group was able to buy with another group and they accepted it, hopefully no issues.
-
Man, I really wish I had gotten group one.
-
Can confirm. Oops. Ace opened up a few hours early last year and honored early purchases so here's hoping they will do the same this year *fingers crossed*
At least my group 2/3/4 can't purchase currently so Ace did something right at least.
-
OMG. You guys are the bomb. If not for you, I don't know what I'd do. Can confirm that I got parking for Group 1.
-
Strange, I’m accessing the direct link for the group 1 email (https://space.aceparking.com/events/results?address=&city=San%20Diego) and I don’t see any events up for order yet. How did y’all access it?

Login and hit reserve parking; change the dates to desired SDCC dates and the lots should pop up as available. No Hilton but most other lots, including Con Center, are available. You obviously have to have Group 1 parking on the account.

Thanks, that did the trick! I was relying on the Upcoming Reservations tab per the instructions, didn’t think to just manually look up the dates.
Nabbed the convention center as desired. Glad I checked this forum before the morning rush. ;D
-
I just purchased Convention Center parking. I did it in a rush without looking at the other ones.
Afterwards I went back to see what is still available. I noticed many lots not available yet like Hilton Parking. The ones posted are sold out now. Those ones are: Park It on Market, Gaslamp City Square, 6th and K Parkade, and Convention Center.

Got it! Thank you so much for the help. Sucks there's no Hilton but I snagged the convention center. Better than nothing.

The way I believe it works is that once you complete your purchase, you will need to login with a different account to still see available inventory.

I would think that HBF should be available once the official sale opens up.

You can still see availability if you've bought. I bought for 7/20 and 7/21, but I logged back in and right now I see North Park Garage and 1245 Garnet Ave. as the only two available lots for 7/14 to 7/21.
Convention center is available for 7/14 to 7/16.
6th and K Parkade is available for 7/14 to 7/16.
Gaslamp City Square is available for 7/14 to 7/16.
Park It on Market is available for 7/14 to 7/16.
HBF is not on the list.

Why am I surprised that Ace screwed up access again this year? I really should just be expecting this...

I bought the parking for my friend who wanted convention center parking. Even though I got Group 1, my first question to her is what if Ace screws up and I don't get convention center? If I had waited until today, I would have not gotten anything for the days she needed.
-
given the fact it's been open for a good chunk of time... i can't see ace returning all the passes bought
i just hope the regulars in this thread check the board early this am!! tag folks who you've been chatting with

You can currently see North Park Garage and 1245 Garnet Ave without even having an account, that's why those are showing up.
You should also see availability at all lots for any of the days that you did not purchase. I expect you won't see parking available for the days that you've already purchased.
At least this is how it worked last year. Remember, the official sale has not started yet, so results may vary right now.

True, there is still hope. However, some dates that I did not purchase (7/17 to 7/19) are showing sold out, while other dates I did not purchase (7/14 to 7/16) are showing available. So, it looks like it might be that the sold out dates are for real.

I thought the sale wasn't supposed to start until 10AM today!
-
Yes I also was advised that the sale started at 10AM. But I went in as suggested, and there they were. Convention parking 7/17-7/21. Just reserved all days.
Man that was blooper from ACE. No mention of Comic-Con. I think they messed up.

I don't think a year goes by without some sort of glitch from Ace or OnPeak. Get ready for a lot of upset people this morning.

Thank you for tagging me, [member=1]alyssa[/member]! I got mine!

CCI has *VERY VERY* little control over what vendors do...and ACE is a completely autonomous organization from cci!
-
Anyone Call ACE on the HBF? Maybe they will add it at 10AM.
-
Once I saw that these were up and might of been available for 5+ hours already we booked the Convention Center parking all 5 days. First time ever parking around the downtown area. Does anyone have experience with this spot and can tell me about how they liked it?

I personally LOVE the CC parking... literally just exit and take the elevator down. Perfect to escape the large crowds and drop off purchases. Depending on what time you arrive, it shouldn't take too long to get in and park, especially if they implement the street closures again.

To use the Direct Link - do you login first and then paste the link in your search bar? - or put the link in the search bar first and then log in when prompted?

once logged in, select the reserver parking tab, enter the correct dates, select the parking location...etc
-
Shall we now expect Ace to “open the city gates” early for each round?
Cersei Lannister would not approve!

It's the only place I want to park. The only problem is getting out at night because of the traffic, but so cool to be able to just go straight downstairs to get to the car. Now that they close the street out front, traffic might not be such a big deal. I didn't try it last year.
-
I purchased convention center parking 7/17 - 7/21 but it's strange how it then showed that the "Service Fee" for each day went down to 95 cents after making the purchase. Another glitch?
Edit:
I clicked on "Purchased Reservations" and in there it shows that the Service Fee was supposed to have been $7.95. I don't have a good feeling about this... but I've always been a worrywart by nature :P
-
When I purchased the parking permits, it said we could get a refund if we return them before a certain date. The emailed receipt says no refunds after we buy the permits. I see that I can get a refund under my account. Not that I want a refund, but what was the refund by date?

Yes, lots for non-Comic Con days are also showing that low service fee.

iirc, i was quoted the lower then got the higher ... i can't check now tho

It'll always be the higher rate. $7.95 service fee per day is standard (same as last year).
-
Ace charging an eight-dollar per-day service fee is not unlike an eBay seller charging $250.00 in shipping costs for a single pokemon card.
It amazes me the lengths to which online retailers go to find as many creative ways as possible to pad in profits in seemingly every way.
That fee couldn't even be per-transaction -- they had to make it per-day to squeeze a few more bucks out of each purchaser.
-

There's not an actual date to my knowledge but returned/refunded dates incur a $10 service charge.

That's the first thing I tried checking to verify but my cc company's website is slow and doesn't post/refresh cc activity until the next day. Sometimes they even take 2-3 days for some reason.

I just checked my CC app. I have a pending charge of $139.75, which means the $7.95 service charge.
-
I didn't get any emails from Ace if I was in the lottery or not. Just for fun I logged in to my account and was able to buy all 5 days at the Convention Center ;D. I don't know how it happened but I'm one happy and blessed fella.

Man, I actually wanted HBF, but when Ace opened early, I freaked out and bought CC.
Looks like the Ace site is getting hammered. Getting 504 errors now - their servers are getting toasted!
-
Picked up CC for Thu-Sun and 6th and K for Wed (no PN badge for me). Site crashed when I hit submit on the checkout page, but it still shows up under Purchased Reservations, so I assume I'm good...
-

If it makes you feel better, I tried many times last night with my crappy group 3 login, and wasn’t able to buy anything.

It's saying the HBF/CC/MTS are all sold out.
Frackin' bites. I had HBF in my cart until the system crashed.

Anyone know if Ace will do exchanges? My friend bought 6th and K because they thought HBF was sold out, but wants to try to switch to HBF since it is now showing as available (assuming it stays available after this initial rush).

You always have the option of paying flipper prices for convention center parking on eBay.
That’s what I did last year – because parking is that important to me.

underground on sunday seemed to be sold out

Check your Purchased Reservations. If it's saying everything is sold out--your "failed" purchase may have gone through.
-
Sweet merciful crap that was ridiculous! Got in with the site running slow, got 4 days of HBF in my cart, entered my CC info and basically crashed out. Refreshed the page and reentered CC info and got some motion that indicated something must be happening, and then crashed out again. Checked my CC and have a pending charge, and then my Ace account and the order is there. Yay, I guess? I'm going to worry about it until the charge clears...
-
I tried to get parking, and I managed to put in my all my payment info to check out, and the site crashed. I checked, and my card has been charged, but I have nothing in my reservations on my Ace account, and haven't gotten a confirmation email o.O
-

I checked that. There isn't an entry on that page. and I have three charges for $111.00 on my credit card.

whoo... just looked at ebay and there are several listings:
NEW LISTING
SDCC San Diego Comic Con CONVENTION CENTER Parking Pass All 5 Days 7/17-7/21
$285.00 or Best Offer
bollocks!
-

Oof--what a nightmare...Sorry to hear.
-
Just a heads up -- if you had parking in your cart and it crashed during check out, be sure to check your "purchased reservations" - you might find it there.
And, if everything is showing sold out for you (not just convention center and hilton bayfront), you probably already have parking purchased.
Also, emails with barcodes are definitely going out slower than people who purchased before the sale started.
[member=6788]DriverJC[/member] ugh...that horrible. I would contact them ASAP - maybe even tweet them?

I just got my email confirmation from ACE - 5 days at Hilton Bayfront :)

I've logged out and logged back in several times. Nothing. I've tried calling, No answer, I've tried tweeting... Nothing.

Not to panic but do names matter? My friend got parking but the original owner of group 1 forgot to change her name to his. Will it cause a problem?
-
My brother's "failed attempt" after hitting the submit button also went through. I guess logging out and logging back in helped to refresh the purchase info under "Purchased Reservations" Also received confirmation email.
I let him use my Ace account but with his billing info; we didn't have to change account info.

I just sent them an email explaining the situation. however, their reply says it will take up to 48 hours for them to respond.

Apparently, there are several people in the same boat I am in. They were charged 2 or more times and never received their passes.
Hopefully this gets fixed quickly.

This happened a number of years ago, before the lottery. I remember being charged 10 times for parking passes ($1,000) before I was able to check out.

Holy canolli!!! Hopefully this doesn't happen to anyone else.

LOL! This made me laugh out loud at work!
Hey, nothing comes cheap at Comic-Con...
-
All those charges will eventually drop off. Same thing happened to me that year before the "lottery"
Looks like they made Group 1 too big this year and the system could not handle it.
-
Sounds like Group 2 is going to be out of luck for the prime spots if the system is already showing HBF and CC as sold out. This is only first day for Group 1. :(
-
The only way to be sure is if someone from Group 1 (who hasn't made a purchase yet) checks to see what's still available and posts it here.
-
Yes, eventually 9 of the 10 charges were reversed, but I had to jump through some hoops and Ace took a few weeks to get it done.
The sad thing is, this was the last year before the parking lottery. Theoretically, they started the lottery to pace out the people going onto the system, to prevent it crashing like this... but it's the same thing all over again.
-
I wonder why they felt the desire to condense from five groups to only three this year.
Overconfidence in their software infrastructure perhaps?
-
I believe that they condensed form 6 groups last year to 4 this year.
-
The only way to be sure is if someone from Group 1 (who hasn't made a purchase yet) checks to see what's still available and posts it here.
Any purchases I "MAY HAVE" made are not listed in the system and it is still showing that there are some sites with openings. See below

Ace went down to 5 Groups last year.
https://www.friendsofcc.com/forum/index.php?topic=8985.msg237585.msg#237585
Maybe 4 Groups this year was needed to keep a consistent public sale date in mid-June.
-
Geez! :o Are all those lots really sold out on the first day of Group 1? This is getting just as bad as Comic-con Pre and Open Reg!
-
I feel the worse for anyone who followed with the actual 10 am time and did not get their preferred parking. I totally feel for anyone in that spot since that happened to me last year. Sadly I learned and this year basically banked on some glitch, mistake, short cut or early release. That's really a sad state when that's what it's come to. It's sad that those who end up playing by the rules often come up short so you are always looking for some angle or loop hole or back door but the reality is it almost seems like this is what you have to do now :(
-
There is NO WAY all of those lots are sold out. Something is messed up at the moment.
-
I am logged in on a friend's account (not purchasing, just checking inventory). As of this writing, CC is showing sold out all days, but HBF all days are still available for purchase (along with presumably the other lesser in-demand lots I am too lazy to individually check :P).
-
Wow, so many places sold out already. I thought slim pickings was going to happen group 3-4, but nope its group 1 who ever showed up late I guess.
Anybody park in Balboa park and then taking a uber/Lyft the rest of the way?

Then maybe there is some hope that my situation will be rectified correctly and I will get the spots I paid for.

That would be nice. Here's hoping they make it right.
-
I feel the worse for anyone who followed with the actual 10 am time and did not get their preferred parking.
All lots were available at 10am though. The only way someone didn't end up with their preferred parking is if there were site issues, but then that wouldn't be because of those who bought before 10am.

Yeah, I'm hoping they will allow exchanges since (it appears) you only get to make one purchase per account. My friend was able to get CC for Thu/Fri and wanted HBF on Sat/Sun, but HBF was showing as sold out so they bought 6th and K instead to secure Sat/Sun parking without losing their Thu/Fri CC. Hoping ACE allows a make good since it was the website's error for showing HBF as sold out when it wasn't.
-
Confirming as of now - 2:37pm pacific that Convention Center parking is sold out for ALL days. Hilton is still available for ALL days.
(viewed from my unused Group 1 acct)
-
Still has HBF open all days, same price as convention center and right next to it, this would always be my second choice.
-
HBF could have shown sold out if people were holding parking in their carts. I see some people were "just looking" to see what was available. It happens all the time with concert tickets. People just grab onto something, then let their cart expire (after a set period of time) and the seats go back into inventory. I don't know how long a "timer" ACE has to finish your purchase... or if this could be the case with parking

YES! And Ace Parking lets you sit with the passes in your cart for 30 minutes. That's a long time compared to many online purchases with a countdown. I usually feel panicked to get all my info added, but with them, you can sip your coffee and take your time. ;D
-
HBF is what I tried to purchase when the site crashed and I was charged for it with no confirmation email or anything listed under purchased reservations. When I log in, it says Sold Out for almost all the lots so I can't try to repurchase anything.
Has Ace contacted anyone yet that has had this glitch? I know they responding to people on twitter saying someone will contact them via email, me included. So I was just curious if anyone has had this issue resolved yet.

I'm in the same boat even got charged three times for it. Been checking emails and twitter for most of the day and nothing.

Man, that's unfortunate...This is my first year getting Group 1 parking. I didn't expect it to be this crazy :/

I had two group ones last time and I had no troubles at all for either of my accounts. This year... not so much...

When they've fixed glitches last year, Ace asked folks to close and restart their browsers to see the "software" update.
Meanwhile, Ace tweets a timeline for end of week emails.

Just received an email from Ace Parking.
This email confirms you were charged for reservations but did not receive them due to a system issue.
Your preferred parking location is still available (including the Convention Center and Hilton Bay Front). Due to system constraints we cannot re-book for you. We will be refunding your purchases this morning and have established a new opportunity for you to complete your reservation. We will have a special reservation session available on Friday, May 17th between 10 AM until 5 PM (PST) to re-select the location of your choice.
Note it is very important you use the email account that received this message when logging in to the system. Failure to do so will result in you not being able to purchase your parking permits.
For more information about the daily rates and convenience fees for each lot, please visit our Comic-Con FAQ page at http://www.aceparking.com/comic-con
Sincerely,
-The Ace Parking Team
So does this mean that I can't purchase my parking pass until Fri May17th, and what happens if the HBF (the one I purchased) is sold out by then?
FYI: I cleared my browser history and cookies after getting this email and HBF is still saying it's sold out for me.
If all else fails I guess I'll at least get my money back.
Joel.
-
Yeah, same. It sounds like we can't rebook until Friday, but what happens if the lots we wanted sell out by then by other Group 1 people that didn't get the glitch?
-

That's the question I asked them when I replied to their email. However, I'm not hopeful of a response.
-
I was in group 1 both last year and this year and something was amiss besides just the site crashes. Last year, it was remarkably easy to get CC parking. I didn't even really have to rush. This year, I logged in immediately at 10 and CC was listed as available but then the site crashed momentarily and then several of the days were gone.
Then it was at least 20 minutes of refreshing, backing up, putting new locations in the cart, getting denied because it didn't clear out the old locations, etc. Tried to pay 4 separate times with the site timing out each time. Finally, we looked at the Purchased tab and it showed barcodes for HBF, so I'm presuming we're good to go now.
But if the rumor is true that the site actually opened last night and people started snatching up spaces, that's infuriating and frankly, smacks of corruption/favoritism rather than just a "glitch." Hasn't this sort of thing happened before? I guess Ace doesn't really care because they get their money either way.

They did a special sale in 2014

in which Ace offered an inventory (of Convention Center lots) just for those folks on that "special sale" list.
Guessing they're gonna offer you CC or HBF if you want it, a separate inventory from all the current Group 1 purchasers.

Yeah, that makes sense and seems fair to make up for the glitch. I hope that's the case!

I wouldn't call it corruption and favoritism. After all, who exactly are they favoriting? I would say it is incompetence more than anything. They seem to have glitches every year, so I'm ready for it. Wish I didn't have to be.
-
It is definitely incompetence, and I believe totally unintentional. They will hold spots for everyone that got messed up today, like they did a few years ago. They just need time to weed through it all. I assume they don't enjoy trying to clean up these messes and taking all the s**t thrown at them. Apparently, it's not so unpleasant that it finally forces them to get their act together either.
Oddly, the first year of this lotto system, things went fine. The only thing people b***hed about was that you could just spam the hell out of them for entries, so they tried to fix that part, but have botched the "on sale" for 2 years straight, both years with it going live early and this year added on the old issue of the site not being able to handle traffic and charges going through but no passes issued.
Either way, last time this happened, they took care of everyone it happened to and I know because I was one of the people. I had 8 charges go through.

When it went live early and I didn't get my spot because everyone else rushed in to book, they didn't take care of that for me. I was still locked out. Made me extra vigilant about glitches.

You were locked out how? CC went within probably 15 minutes of 10am last year due to the early start, but I snoozed and logged in a couple hours late and still got HBF. No one in Group 1 was locked out of a parking spot.

I honestly don't remember details--not the day, not the year, not even the group I was in. I remember being upset that others had gotten in early and nabbed it. I wasn't upset with the people who got lucky. They were smart. I was upset with Ace for fowling it up, but I knew to be vigilant this year. Learned my lesson and it paid off. That's the important part. I bought my spot last night at 11:30 pm.

Plenty of companies due a soft roll out, and don't tell anyone keeps it from getting flooded at once. And or test out the system right before the launch. I've learned the hard way and missed out on a bunch, but plenty of companies either due this, or use a random time that they put the item out for sale, for the same reason.
-
A soft opening is valid if you don't announce a time at all. It's extremely inconsiderate to your customers if you've previously told them a specific time and you're selling a high-demand item.

Got to work this morning and checked my credit card and found that all three of the charges have been removed.
Here's hoping the "Special Event" on Friday does as smoothly for me as the charge backs.

Yep, told them to e-mail Ace! We'll see how responsive they are .

Sdccblog updated their story regarding parking. https://sdccblog.com/2019/05/guide-to-parking-at-san-diego-comic-con-2019/
Did many people who was in group 1 try to buy CC or HBF parking but because of the glitch showed sold out, so they ending up buying parking farther away? Are they part of that resale on Friday? Who is part of the resale, people who where charged multiple times and refunded?
-
I'm part of the resale. I attempted to purchase HBF and had my card charged three times but never received the passes. I'm not sure if there are any others in the resale other then those of us who were locked out of the sale.
-
I wouldn't call it corruption and favoritism. After all, who exactly are they favoriting? I would say it is incompetence more than anything. They seem to have glitches every year, so I'm ready for it. Wish I didn't have to be.
I'll admit my cynicism and paranoia may be playing into this and it may just be simple incompetence. But the corruption/favoritism scenario would essentially be 1) Ace employee either opens the inventory early or is aware it's open to the public when it's not supposed to be, and 2) they simply give buddies/clients a heads up that they can swoop in and get what they need before it's closed again, but to keep quiet about it.
-
Anyway, if it's been a couple years where they've quietly opened the inventory the night before the on-sale, it's worth making a note for next year to take advantage of that and look early, since apparently it's an open secret at this point and/or Ace simply doesn't learn from its mistakes.
I wonder what the turnover is at Ace. It can't be a fun job dealing with clusterf*cks like this and I wouldn't be surprised if the people who experienced it last year flipped to other jobs this year and the people who took their place didn't know what the mistakes were.
-
I think the email termed the upcoming sale Group 1 Redux but that name hasn't caught on as much as second chance, special sale, special reservation session, or resale!

This interruption of the regular sale happened in 2014 as well
Update from https://aceparking.com/comic-con/
UPDATE: 5/14/19
The reservation site will be unavailable on Friday so we can address a technical issue that we experienced on Monday.
Group 2 sale is scheduled for 5/20/19 at 10 AM.

ADA scooter dude here. I have two bad feet from years of conventions (standing in lines for long hours with bad shoes). Any help or advice is extremely appreciated. I’ve been attending SDCC since 2009. I’ve been fortunate enough to get at least four days passes for the Con each year. This year I wasn’t so lucky. I’m only going for Thursday and Sunday. I have a scooter rented inside the convention center. So at the very least I have to go to the convention center to pickup my scooter.
I’m having major anxiety about this. I’m just looking for some guidance. My family is staying further out about 30 minutes out from Gas Lamp so parking is key to my survival.
I didn’t make into round one for parking. Am I better off parking further out and catching an Uber/Lyft to get closer to the convention center and off-sites or do I just feed the scumbag eBay scalpers $289 for parking at the convention center?

I also requested parking (preferably convention center) in the parking exchange forum. I'd give that option a coulple of weeks to see if you luck out, and someone offers you a parking pass. For you and me, having that close parking is vital. Although I sometimes have to wait for long periods of time to get on the elevator with my scooter, any saved steps, avoided ramps and no railroad track crossings, is a great plus. I'm not sure where the uber/lyft/cab drop of was last year, or is this year; I guess you could go to the Hilton or Marriott to get one. Or the trolley, train is still an option? Getting my scooter on the trolley during any near peak time is a challange. at 2 in the afternoon, not so bad, but hey, who wants to be on the trolley during CC hours??

When I had convention parking, I think 4 years ago, I remember pulling in and another car tried to park showing their disabled parking. They turned them away telling them they had to get there earlier. So you might be able to park in the convention center without the permit IF you get there super early. I would call Ace parking first if you plan on trying this. If you have to have convention center and bayfront is too far, I think your only other option is evil bay, I mean ebay.

I got a reply to me emailed question of "What happens if the selections we made when you had the glitch are sold out come Friday the 17th?".
Their response was short and to the point.
"If you want to purchase parking now you can, Friday you will participate in a separate sale. "
However, when I logged on to the website I found that HBF and CC was still blocked out for me. This kind of makes me leery that they will have my account unscrewed tomorrow morning to be able to purchase HBF parking.
Here's hoping everything goes well tomorrow.
Joel.

Typical response from Ace.
Their company motto is we are going to announce something, screw it up, never admit we can fix it or mitigate the error, and that is because we have everyone’s money already.

So I'm guessing after tomorrow we'll find out what's still left for Group 2? Assuming everything goes well.
And I remember when they FUBARed that parking situation. I recall some person had used a debit card and got charged like 8 times or something crazy. Hopefully everyone who got affected got their charges dropped easy.

Anyone have any updates on inventory for the Group 2 folks?
You would need a group 1 that you didn't use to check.

The special sale is due to end in 10 minutes. Not sure how long Ace will take to open up the reservation site for group 1's who haven't previously bought their slots or see availability.

You login to the Ace account that won the group slot. Then when the time begins, the event is viewable in that account for purchase.

Thanks T.J.
We'll see what happens at 10 today, just hope I didn't try to enter my info too many times last week, last night and this morning to see if early purchase was available, and now have ACE lock me out if I tried too much!! ouch

Another observation I’ve made is that with my Group 1 login, and now my Group 2 login, I do not see HBF as a selectable option, whatsoever. Does that particular lot just magically appear, versus being there on the list but saying “sold out”?

Most likely because the sale hasn't started yet. All the lots should show up after 10AM PDT even if they are sold out.

Indeed, that is from today!
All you have to do is URL-hack the link. Simply put in some arbitrary dates in June, and then modify the first date in the URL to 07-17 and the second date in the URL to 07-21. Then press enter to reload the page -- and voila :)

I used that url technique. I wonder if ACE again realized they opened the worm hole too early and shut down the portal again, like last week. I hope at 10am PT that everything falls into place.

Yeah—I don’t know anything, but my guess is that HBF is a lot that they only book for events, so it only shows when the event goes up, versus the lots that they sell everyday.

And I think you're onto something there -- perhaps (and let's hope), that the HBF becomes a bookable garage at 10am due to it being tied to an event (SDCC 2019) :)

Hope springs eternal! Plus, it's probably just as well since with my luck I would have screwed up and changed the link to 6/17-6/21 or something equally wrong, lol.

It's definitely up now! Go go go!
I just snagged CC parking.
-
HBF is available....

Yep, CC was there! I had it for just Wednesday, but when went to check out said was full.
Permits can be cancelled/refunded unti 11:59pm on 07-06-2019. A processing fee of $10.00 will be applied to all refund requests.
Got HBF for a friend!
Update: got my email confirmation at :17

Random question. For your parking voucher barcodes, are you all showing the prices printed out? For HBF today, I see prices printed directly on the voucher, but for CC last week, there were no prices on the voucher. Not sure if it matters...

I am seeing prices directly on the vouchers for this Group's sale -- but you're right, during my Group 1 purchase, I do not see prices on the vouchers.
-
I'm in Group 2, bought my parking just now. I was able to get everything in the Bayfront Hilton. However, when I tried to buy parking for my sister-in-law using my other E-mail address that got Group 2, both Friday and Saturday for the Bayfront Hilton were sold out. She only needed Saturday. I got her the 6th and K Parkade.

I have both Bayfront Hilton and 6th/K parking, I'm showing prices on both.

Happy for you. Congrats!
Thanks—you too! At last our long national nightmare is over. :)

Refresh it. Majority is still available on my end.
Had to call them. Tried to do the purchase on two separate credit cards to split the cost with a friend (2 days on one and 2 days on the other). After the first, it locked me out--showing everything sold out. Called them and they tried to tell me to send them an email which I refused to do....they then transferred me to someone that unlocked it and he asked why I didn't just do it all once.... ::) At least they resolved it...but super frustrating.

Only able to get Wednesday Hilton, Wednesday/Thursday were the most important days for me to have close parking anyway though

I’ve already got 5 days at the Convention Center but I just want to say it’s people like you that make this forum great. Thank you for being awesome.
Flippers are trying to sell these on eBay right now for $400 and sometimes more.

I'm very grateful for the kind folks on this forum who helped me find parking when I'd struggled before, so I'm glad that I was able to return the favor!
