Sorry if this can be found elsewhere but when does the volunteer interest list usually open up? I have some friends I'm been trying to get to start joining us in SDCC but money is an issue so was thinking this could be an option for them. Thanks in advance.
I think it's around January/February usually? It's about the time after volunteer vets confirm their return.

I have some friends I'm been trying to get to start joining us in SDCC but money is an issue so was thinking this could be an option for them. Thanks in advance. If they have never signed up, the Interest List, where you get put on the email, should open before the year is out. Last year, for 2016, the List opened up on Sept 30 http://www.friendsofcc.com/forum/index.php?topic=5518.msg134173#msg134173 and lasted over 10 days. Make sure they have a Member ID now!
Usually, it's mid- to late February....because that one fills up fast!
I'm curious, what's the appeal in volunteering? Comic-Con is one of few "vacations" I take each year and I don't really see why someone would want to work through it.

Comic-Con is one of few "vacations" I take each year and I don't really see why someone would want to work through it.It is easy work (though still be at your best), and the time you pick/get, you are still able to enjoy the Con. I did by selecting a certain time that made it possible, which I won't say online. >:D You also make new friends, work with your buddy, and get a cool free shirt. You can still do Hall H on Saturday, btw. I know two (2) that did Hall H on Saturday before heading for a later shift, so you can still have that vacation, just make sure you want to volunteer. I enjoyed it and can't wait for next year.

In the past, they have said that volunteers in good standing are invited back and do not need to sign up for the interest list.Unless you had any issues with department managers or staff, you should be fine. If you did a satisfactory or excellent job during a volunteer shift and turned in your "S" card (volunteer shift cards), you can just wait for the returning/priority volunteer sign-up. That happens at least a week or two before the first-time volunteer sign-up.
Do they indicate anywhere if you are in good standing/will be invited back? While my supervisor seemed very happy with our group, I ask because the interest list closes before they send out the invitations to returning volunteers, so if for some reason I don’t get an invitation I want to be eligible for regular volunteer registration.

Hope that helps. ^__^d
To add to what [member=317]Zero[/member] said, lets put it this way. You should have some idea if you did poorly or there was a problem. Usually your volunteer shift lead or the head of the department you worked your shift for (who took care of your S Card,) will let it be known if there were problems. If you hadn't heard anything when your shift was done, and you checked-out, then chances are you're fine and will be invited back. Very rarely will anything negative regarding your volunteer status be done behind your back. I'm not saying it's never happened, since I don't know about every volunteer, but most likely you'll be told to your face if there was a problem during your shift.
Are they generally forgiving if there is *a* mistake, or something the staffer agreed you weren't totally at fault for? I posted this in the 2016 thread, but I made an error when I worked a shift with Autographs and was standing in line in place of a handicapped person. I drew for the person, then the WB rep asked if I would like to draw for myself as well; in total Auto-pilot mode I did and got a wristband as well. I was released early after a staffer spoke with me about the wristband (since I'd shown it to other volunteers and it was seen by another staff person), but when I apologized for making the error I was told it wasn't my fault and that the WB people had been making those sorts of errors all morning. (I still felt bad, and asked that staffer to relay my apologies to the one who had told him to speak with me.) Other than that I had no issues during this year's SDCC.
I'm definitely interested in volunteering whether I get badges or not. Like someone else mentioned, I like seeing behind-the-scenes :) I wish I was able to volunteer this year though, those Spock T-shirts are simply AWESOME!
Does anyone know if you volunteer for 2 shifts in one day, so you get 2 separate days free badges?

Does anyone know if you volunteer for 2 shifts in one day, so you get 2 separate days free badges?Carlo is correct. The Volunteers Department will only allow you to do one shift a day. One shift for one daily badge is how it works.

If I remember correctly, first time volunteers that are on the interest list are sort of a first come, first served basis, right? Also, doesn't it take place like 10:00 in the morning on a weekday?
What do you mean first come, first served basis? If you're lucky enough to get your name/Member ID onto the interest list, then SDCC will alert you to when the volunteer system opens-up. Then, only those who joined the interest list will be able to sign-up to volunteer when the system allows it. Once you're accepted as a volunteer, then you wait in line at SDCC to get a shift based on what time you prefer.
As for times, 1pm is traditionally when you sign-up at SDCC for the next day's shift. Hope that helps!
I meant more of the First Time registration for new Volunteers that takes place after Returning Volunteers sign up.First-time volunteer sign-up works like this, and generally, there is a limited amount of time before the new volunteer quota is met. (You can consider it as being first-come, first-served in the sense that once there are enough new volunteers signed up, CCI does close new volunteer registration.)

I signed up for the volunteer list last year, but I'm gonna try and do it again. Thanks!
You have to log into your Member ID (provided that you did sign up for the volunteer interest list prior to that). Then, you fill in the volunteer registration form through your account, check some boxes acknowledging terms and conditions as well as marking if you are interested in doing a pre-con shift (actual pre-con shift sign-up comes much closer to con), and submit the form. It's quite a short process, but you do have to pay attention to the e-mail announcements about this, or you'll miss it out on it.
Hope that helps a bit. :]

Please check this page in the fall for information regarding the Comic-Con 2017 Volunteer Interest List. We thank you for your support and interest in our program.
They send an email about volunteer registration, right? Or do we just have to keep logging into our account to check?
Thanks [member=314]Transmute Jun[/member] !
Yes, I signed up for the interest list last year and though I made the volunteer list I unfortunately couldn't make it. I'm guessing that's what it is (interest list from 2016), I was surprised to get an email!
Question when they said 12pm are they automatically referring to 12pm PST?
That makes a lot of sense. It's nice to them to give you the heads up.
Yes, when CCI says a time, they mean Pacific time (which is where their offices are located).
Makes sense, thank you so much!
Completely agree, very nice of them. Hopefully this time around I can go without any problems arising. ^-^

About time there is news for next year! Lol. Alright, will sign up two family members tomorrow. I didn't get any email, but volunteered last year so there's that.
Can anyone comment on how long the interest list usually remains open for? Curious if its something my friend will have to sign up for right away or if they can do it later in the day.if i recall correctly, the interest list was open for a while last year. i think you're friends will be able to sign up later on tomorrow.

Maybe someone could back me up on this. Last year it stayed open for a few hours, but I've heard in previous years that it filled up pretty quickly. If your friend has time, I'd suggest just doing it around the email time it becomes available.:)I believe what you are referring to is the actual signup for volunteer positions. It is my understanding that what will be opening up later on today is the INTEREST list.
Is it safe to assume returning volunteers dont have to sign up, or should I try just in case?
Thanks for the info, [member=5507]VictoriaWHOA[/member]! I have been trying to sign up for this every year as a back up, and I have a friend or two looking into this for 2017 as well ;)
This year will be my first time around. I have school though in the mornings during the New Volunteer sign up, so hopefully I will be able to get in!

Is it safe to assume returning volunteers dont have to sign up, or should I try just in case?I'm under the impression when the link goes live, returning volunteers will see a green check mark noting we have been "signed up" already.
It's full already? I logged in at noon and it was still at 2016.
anyone else seeing the message that the '17 volunteer list is now full?!?!?
i'm thinking that's a mistake....
I think you are correct, as the system is now offline for "maintenance," haha!
Starting to think that was an error. No way it be full that fast.
Agreed - especially since I don't believe CCI made an "official" announcement yet or anything. We did not announce it on our blog either as it seemed as tho CCI wanted to do a soft opening- Plus we wanted to give everyone here first crack at it.
i just clicked through and am still getting the message that the list is full
anyone else?

Getting that message as well.
IF it did get full, again IF, it would be a record and beat the actual volunteer signing up process too! Lol!
The Comic-Con 2016
Volunteer Interest List is Now Full
Thank you for your interest in the Comic-Con 2017 volunteer program. Our interest list is now full.
i'm thinking its still a wonky code thingy since
Oh CCI, already having problems. X_X I'm really nervous now when the badge sale happens. Can't get this right...oh boy! Haha!
I know just I don't like where this is going. Lol Nothing more.
it's still giving access denied on the cci page...

Signing up for the Volunteer Interest List does not guarantee you a spot in the Comic-Con 2017 volunteer program, you must still sign up when online registration opens in early 2017. By signing up for the Volunteer Interest List, you will be notified via email when online volunteer registration opens. The registration date and time will not be published anywhere online, and you will only be notified via email. Registration is filled on a first come, first served basis so please be sure to sign up with a permanent email account and check it frequently.
NOTE: If you completed at least one volunteer assignment for Comic-Con 2016, do NOT sign up for the Volunteer Interest list. You will automatically be notified via email when priority registration opens in early 2017 for returning volunteers.
The Comic-Con 2017 Volunteer Interest List could potentially fill up while you are in the process of signing up. If you successfully sign up for the Volunteer Interest List, you will receive a confirmation screen and a green notice will appear in the upper right hand corner of your Member ID account that says "CCI'17 Volunteer Interest List" If you do not see this notification after you sign up, you are NOT signed up for the Volunteer Interest List.
You are eligible for Priority Volunteer Registration Because you successfully completed a volunteer assignment at Comic-Con 2016, you are eligible for Priority Volunteer Registration for Comic-Con 2017. You do not need to add yourself to the Volunteer Interest List.
Those eligible for Priority Volunteer Registration will have the first opportunity to sign-up to volunteer before we open registration to those on the Volunteer Interest List. This does not mean that you are currently registered as a volunteer for Comic-Con 2017. You must still successfully register when Priority Volunteer Registration opens in early 2017.
Same!
Because you successfully completed a volunteer assignment at Comic-Con 2016, you are eligible for Priority Volunteer Registration for Comic-Con 2017
Me too! Now I can stop irrationally worrying that I won't qualify as a returning volunteer. :)
from the Volunteer page:
"Volunteers
Thank you for your interest in the Comic-Con 2017 volunteer program. The Volunteer Interest List for Comic-Con 2017 is now closed.
In early 2017, online volunteer registration will open to the returning volunteer Priority List (those who completed at least one volunteer assignment in 2016) and the 2017 Interest List only. If you are a returning volunteer or have signed up for the Comic-Con 2017 Interest List, you will be notified via email when online volunteer registration opens.
If you are not currently on the Priority List or the Interest List, another volunteer opportunity you might want to check out is WonderCon Anaheim! Please review the WonderCon Anaheim “Volunteers” page for additional information and instructions to register. Online registration for WonderCon 2017 Volunteers will open in late 2016.
We thank ALL of our volunteers, past, present and future, for their help and enthusiasm in making Comic-Con International and WonderCon Anaheim great experiences for all who attend!"
The time span was longer this year vs. last year, although that may not be a sign of any increased capacity for this year or indicate how competitive the actual volunteer registration day will fan out!
Interesting. While everything SDCC usually sells out/fills up quicker and quicker, that wasn't the case this year for Interest List capacity AND last year for the actual volunteer sign-up. (Where it lasted 2+ hours rather than minutes as before.) I've been suspecting over the last year or two that SDCC is reaching somewhat of an equilibrium point. It will still be crazy for awhile, but it won't get crazier. Although, we'll have to see if anything else backs this up or if these were just flukes.
Im attempting to volunteer for SDCC this year and am on the interest list . My question is when signing up to volunteer can you sign up multiple people under one account login (if they are on the interest list too) or do you have to do both of them separate?

So i clicked on the Wondercon Volunteer sign up to see what the form looked like. My question is , Is the sign up for SDCC the same form setup as the wondercon one?
Now that returning registration has been announced when do yall think volunteer registration will open up ?
Good question, ha ha.I hope so. Would be one less thing to worry about.
Well, priority volunteer registration (basically "returning" volunteer registration) needs to happen first, and then new volunteer registration occurs shortly after that. In the past, they've given priority volunteer registration a timeline of around two weeks or so to check in and sign up before new volunteer registration begins.
My guess would be sometime in mid-March or early April at the rate we're going right now, possibly before open/general registration.
Question for returing volunteers: does the tab for volunteers say you are on the priority list? I was pretty sure when i checked this back in November it showed my priority status but now I don't see it...... :blank:
I am eligible for priority volunteer registration for SDCC 2017 and this is what is says in the volunteer tab for my member ID account:
"Comic-Con International 2017
Volunteer Interest List
Comic-Con International: San Diego
OK You are eligible for
Priority Volunteer Registration
Because you successfully completed a volunteer assignment at Comic-Con 2016, you are eligible for Priority Volunteer Registration for Comic-Con 2017.
You must still successfully register when Priority Volunteer Registration opens in early 2017."
Question...
I qualify for 'Volunteer Interest List'. If I'm able to be a volunteer, do I already have to have a badge, or is it separate from Open Registration.
Being a volunteer and having a volunteer badge is separate from the attendee badges (from the returning registration and open registration sales). They are two different systems and databases.I can't wait for that reg! Can't wait to get it over with so I can worry less about it. Lol April, get here fast please or CCI, get that IT upgrade done sooner! Hehe!
If you're on the volunteer interest list, then you will be notified when volunteer registration sign-up will be opened up, but it doesn't mean you have a volunteer badge just yet.
On the other hand, for priority/returning volunteers, since they are already in the volunteer system, as long as they log in and do the necessary registration steps before the deadline, they are basically guaranteed a (volunteer) badge.
Hope that helps!

Think of it as being halfway there, now that you're on the interest list. The next part is staying vigilant about checking your e-mails. When that volunteer sign-up announcement comes out, make sure to log into your Member ID account to register as new volunteer for Comic-Con 2017 as soon as possible. Volunteer registration, once its open, could close at any time without notice.

Do yall think volunteer registration will happen before or after gen reg?
My question is about shift selection for new voluneteers - Someone mentioned you can sign up for a 'pre-con shift '. I think I also read somewhere that volunteers sign up for a shift at the con on the day they for which they have volunteered. I tried to look at the SDCC info link from last year, but that info is gone. What is the process for signing up for a shift, once you have been accepted as a volunteer? For shift selection, after you registered in person, give them the papers you signed, you go to another spot in the same room to get your shift. They will ask you what time of the day you want. Once done, they will give you your card that tells you what time to check in and the shift you are doing. Btw, get a shift done before 130pm, you can sign up for the next day. Otherwise you just wait a certain amount time to sign up for the next day. Nothing to worry about really. Very easy process and people are around if you need help. And yes, a disabled person can sign up as a volunteer.
Oh...one more question. Can a disabled person sign up as a volunteer?
When you sign up during Volunteer Registration, in the past, there is a check box you click if you are available for a Pre-Con volunteer shift. About 2 weeks iirc before Con they will send emails to all the people who checked that box and the email will contain a link to a Google Doc that you then go to and enter your availability for Pre-Con. It will likes Mon, Tue and Wed and then blocks of time they need people during those days. You enter all your are available for and submit. Then they assign those shifts on a first submitted, first assigned basis. About a week before Con then you will get a simple email with your Pre-Con assignment. It will tell you the time to report and you just show up and they will then shuffle you to whatever you have been assigned for, which you won't know until you show up.
I've had pre-con shifts the past two years and it's nice to get one done and over with, but last year was a bit of madness b/c my shift was on Wednesday at 11am and the line was SO FULL of people just lining up to get a shift for Thursday I almost missed my shift b/c apparently they yelled for people with a shift in the next hour and I couldn't hear it. I stood in that line for an hour and finally at 11am I went to someone and told them I have a shift that supposed to start RIGHT NOW and they pulled me to the front where I was checked in and sent to another line that was moving slow too. At the end I was 30 min "late" for my shift but it wasn't my fault as I had arrived over an hour early. I don't know that I would do a Wednesday shift again b/c of this. Or if I do, be a lot more vocal and pro-active b/c they can be very disorganized and if you are waiting for someone to tell you what to do, DONT.

The lines are always crazy, Wednesday or otherwise. I wouldn't suggest basing it off of that negative experience. I always suggest people do pre-con shifts if their schedule allows for it. To me they are so fun and less stressful. I've met and made a ton of close friends now due to them. Obviously, we even met because of it. I think when we met, I was still sane and normal, and probably still in "fun" mode.Hopefully I get to work with you this year!
Have any priority volunteers received their email yet? I keep in touch with two other returning volunteers and none of us have received the priority volunteer email yet, but at least two of us have received the open registration email.Nothing for me as well. It could happen before Open Reg but I'm thinking after.

@SD_Comic_Con volunteer interest email going out. Set for april 24th.
it's interesting that they sent our an email to the interest list but not to the returning volunteers. I have to think they'll be sending and email to the returning vol people very soon.Yeah everything is all mixed up this year. Expect the unexpected is all I've learned LOL
Calendar link added-let me know if there is a better wording (shorter would be great).
http://comic-con.org/cci/volunteersThat works! I will go with their wording. Thanks! I will use Priority List when they post that date.
CCI uses Priority List (returning) and Interest List (new); maybe drop the word from? :)
I received my volunteer interest email with the date and time to sign up (4/24/2017 10:00 AM PDT).It says will be on a first come first served basis, but I'd like to know the time too, or if there will be sort of waiting room if you log in early
Can anyone tell me if there is an advantage to signing in before the time, or should you wait until exactly 10:00 am PDT.

Other years has not been a waiting room. You had to log on the given hour sharp and send the form with your info.
So it looks like Returning Volunteer Reg will happen April 12-21, according to the Unofficial Blog. Btw, CCI states in a auto reply that the Priority email notice went out on April 5th. Clearly no one got it and I'm thinking something went wrong on their end. Even the Blog is thinking that, too.Yep. From the email I got,
Anyway, we have the dates.
I first time try be volunteer to get into con, i was able get in years back before lottery thing but now seems harder to get in . how often do slots fill fast or is like a stress ball to get a spot ea year like badges.
Got it done as well. As expected, very easy to do. Now unlike last year, I checked the pre-con box this time. I'm getting there on Monday, so yeah.
So I am all done with the reg stuff--already got my 4-day with PN in the Open Reg and now have this done too. Volunteering is fun and regardless having all the days already, I don't mind helping out at all.
Last year, I was able to get a refund for a purchased day that I ended up volunteering on. If policies haven't changed, you should be able to do the same.Nice! Thank you for telling me this!
I am looking at it now and I don't have a link to registration. I clicked on the Volunteering tab but there's no link. Is it closed? It shouldn't be. I know a few people on Twitter were getting server issues, so maybe CCI is fixing that?

I don't think that's it, I'm in the site and not getting any errors. :(Well the server problems were popping up after hitting complete, according to the posts I saw. I'm not seeing it being closed on social media.

Never mind I'm a dummy. I'm only on the interest list so that opens 4/24, not today. DERPIt happens; no worries. ;) Get this, I kept on looking for my Apple Watch today and guess what, it was on my left wrist the whole time. Lol Now my left wrist was covered up but still, hehe!
Lol, so in the email "Welcome to the Comic-Con 2017 Volunteer Program," my Member ID listed in this email has random letters, numbers, and other things. Everything else is right, and on the confirmation page before getting the email, my ID was correct. Just find it funny.
Glad others had no problems to speak of.
Has anyone ever volunteered before SDCC starts? What was it like? What was your job? Did you find advantage in so it?

I have done pre-con shifts before, and most of them related to helping out with sone form of registration (handing out souvenir booklets, lanyards, and WB bags at Attendee Registration; helping attach lanyards to Pro or Press badges and then handing out bags, etc.). Some people have also assisted with set up of certain areas, like Art Show, or did line control for Ballroom 20 or Attendee Registration. It has thanks. I've volunteered during SDCC but not before. This should be interesting.
I have had a pre-con shift doing all of the above before. ^__^d
Hope that helps.
Has anyone ever volunteered before SDCC starts? What was it like? What was your job? Did you find advantage in so it? If you do a double shift (6 hours) does that get you 2 days of badges or still just one?
Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
I used to always volunteer before SDCC started. Something changed, and so I cannot do so anymore. But it was a great time. I think I posted my experience before on these boards. I actually met one of the members of the board accidentally while she was doing a pre-con shift. There are advantages and disadvantages to working earlier. It depends where you live. If you'll be in the area already, then it could be beneficial. I wouldn't intentionally book a hotel an extra day for that for instance. I don't live too far, so I can just drive in. When I did the pre-con shifts, a double shift wasn't an option. I don't remember it even being one the last few years, but that I could be mistaken on. Even though I only got a single day badge, I worked pretty much the entire day, instead of a standard shift. I enjoyed volunteering, and so I gave them my entire day. Many who know me, know I've done a ton of SDCCs. And so, I don't care that much anymore for panels or even the exhibit hall. I'll check them out, but I tend to enjoy working and giving back. Helping a lot of the newbies and new volunteers out. Thanks for the insight. I usually fly in Tues or Wed to get things settled for the week to come. This is the first we decided to volunteer before SDCC so we can just enjoy to week. This is My 4th time volunteering but first time before it starts.

If you do a pre con shift, do you still get a badge for comic con? And when do pre con shifts begin? I live nearby San Diego ( two hours away) And I'll be on "vacations" so may be I could go for the day for a pre con shift and go back home, before staying in San Diego for the con itselfYes, you get a badge, in fact, you get to choose what day you want to redeem you pre-con badge. The earliest pre con shift I had was either 8 or 9am and that was on a Tuesday but I would imagine it would depend on what you put yourself as available.

you will not have to select a day(s) to volunteer. iirc, and others will chime in, by completing the forum you indicate simply that you would like to be a volunteer. you can vol
the forum is simple and speed a key! I am sorry that i don't have the exact forum for you to view. I'll try and find it & post in the next few mins
Oh ok. So does that mean it's luck/random on which day I volunteer?no, you need to complete one shift in good standing. to get a shift you need to go to the volunteer area & sign up. typically, folks go the day before. for example, if i wanted a shift on Saturday, i would go to the volunteer area on friday, and tell them when i could work on Saturday.
Oh ok. So does that mean it's luck/random on which day I volunteer? You don't pick the days today. You are only signing up for the program. If you get in, fast enough, once at San Diego, that is when you pick your shift/day--checking in. The department will tell you what to do in an email. Very easy; pretty much what Alyssa has said.

We signed up for pre con volunteer this year. We plan to fly in on Tues, hoping to volunteer before con so that we don't have to during.Yes, I'm really hoping for a pre con shift so it doesn't interfere with the rest of my con. Have to make sure it doesn't interfere with my Tues meet-up.

Done! Thanks Mario!Done here too!
goThey did it 3mins sooner. I was watching for the heck of it. Let's see how long it stays open this time. Last year was strange--took almost 2 hours before it closed.
super odd that they opened it early?!?!?

Does anyone know if the volunteering link is still active. Just curious. I'd like to know how long it stayed open.

Hi everyone, so this will be my first time volunteering and I do not know how the process works. I have a couple questions;:
- Are they sending another email regarding the volunteer check-in location and volunteer shift dates?
- How many day badges do you get after volunteering per day?
- How early should I arrive for the volunteer check-in on the first day of SDCC?
- When do they start teaching you/giving you directions on what to do?
I might have questions later, so I'll ask as the days go by, thank you

Carlo is correct. The Volunteers Department will only allow you to do one shift a day. One shift for one daily badge is how it works.
Interesting. I feel like in years past Volunteer Reg for Interest List closed within about 10-15 minutes. Am I just making that up in my head?
As postulated by SDCC Unofficial Blog on Twitter...Usually volunteer reg is before Gen Reg so people sign up to hedge their bets. This year with Gen Reg already past people know they have their badge, so maybe that's why.
and it's still open!(https://media2.giphy.com/media/y65VoOlimZaus/giphy.gif)
I see that they are charging a 10% precessing fee to refund your previously purchased badge even if you are volunteering and just got into the volunteering pool. I think if you are volunteering, and you already purchased a badge, it would be nice if the refunding processing fee was waived. Oh well.
Might CCI re-open the Interest List to the general public if several days go by with slots still available?that thought occurred to me, in a similar fashion as Reed Pop did last year.
Would mean revision of: "Volunteer registration is not open to the general public, only those on the Priority and Interest Lists."

i dont think so
I put my son on the interest list even tho he has no intention of volunteering (17 year old smh)
I never filled out the forum for him and i just signed into his account on a completely different computer so it's not cookies.
is there anyone else on the interest list who hasn't gone to the page?
It finally closed moments ago.agreed that's what my son's acct indicates too
It good to have places to ask questions and i know it like months or weeks away but i try plan ahead so way ready when it comes around to head down to volunteer. when is it best to be at the volunteer room to check in cause first time doing so and wanna try be ready incase can get a slot for that day and enjoy the con while i wait for shift to check back early and on time.Just get there when you can/when it is open to check-in. Want to line up sooner? That's fine, just make sure it's ok to do so. After that, getting a shift, you will get a card that will tell you what time to return. Just do your best once the shift begins--that's it.
Hello!1. Do that before or after your shift. Anyway, you will be too busy with your shift, so focus on that later (or again, before).
This is my first time at SDCC, and I'm super excited! I have been trying to get a badge via GEN REG for four years with no success. I read about volunteering and decided to try for both GEN REG and volunteering; nothing in GEN REG, but becoming a volunteer happened! I'm freakin' out, and have many questions. Thankfully, I found this place; thank y'all so much!
However, I do have questions unanswered:
- While volunteering, am I allowed to take any swag? Meaning, if there's free stuff being given out, am I allowed to take it or no?
- I saw in the disclosure that no pictures can be taken of anything associated with SDCC (including badges). How can I document my experience?
I might have more questions later (sorry, I'm anxious), but for now any help y'all may provide would be appreciated. I want things to go smoothly and to be able to return to do this again; sounds like major fun!
Thank you in advance!

[member=7004]stormphoenix[/member]Yep! Now I will say that they, the staff members I met, do recommend leaving anything important at your hotel room or, if possible, have it on you. All about playing it safe and using your cell phone, it depends on the shift. For example, helping people that need it with any ticket drawing in Sails, you will use your phone to be in contact with the person you're helping. Also to be in contact with a staff member in case your shift is about to end, if the drawing hasn't happened yet.
every time i've volunteered there has been a place to store my gear.
the idea behind 'no photo's' is a security but also, your their to work & most of the time you will be actually doing stuff- handing out bags, organizing, holding signs. I believe there is also a rule against using your phone-

I can see if ur on the clock or on the job doing ur job then u wait till after or before ur job stat or maybe last day and ask what u can have so to speak , but as a first timer as well volunteer i learned form others to ask first if u can do something if u not sure at time so u dont ruin a chance to volunteer next year. that is how i see it so to speak.
Last year, the Pre-Con sign up went out on July 1 and they sent out the assignments July 7. (Preview Night was July 20.)
Are there any more emails for new volunteers or any volunteers to watch for now and untill july close to con time?
Hello, everyone!
I have a question that I hope someone can help with. I'm a San Diego resident and I've been attending Comic-Con since 1982. I was a volunteer with Exhibitor Registration in the late 90's for a few years. Other than that, I've been going as an Attendee or Press. I decided to volunteer this year to give back to the event that's given me so much joy over the years. And I wanted to do it while I'm still young enough. ;)
My question is this: I clicked on the "Available before con" box. I would love to start as soon as possible. If you get your volunteer work done before the show starts, are you then able to go to the con with a four day badge?
Thanks in advance.
And while I'm here, I would like to thank everyone who's contributed to this site. It's been an incredible wealth of invaluable information.
Thank you, folks! Enjoy your Memorial Day weekend!
I'm not 100% what you're asking. I'll answer both ways I read your question and see if I'm right or wrong. Pre-Con shifts usually start Monday the earliest, but usually Tuesday or Wednesday. So the most you could get would be 2 free badges. There is technically no limit as to how little you volunteer. So you could go with only one shift say Wednesday morning, and then you're done. After that, you can then use your normal 4 day badge and attend all the days of the con, and still be part of the volunteer system from then on.
If I haven't answered your question properly, please clarify, and I will respond again!
If I haven't answered your question properly, please clarify, and I will respond again!
As far as I know, you can only volunteer a single day before the con. So you can either volunteer on Tuesday, or on Wednesday. But not both.
As far as I know, you can only volunteer a single day before the con. So you can either volunteer on Tuesday, or on Wednesday. But not both.
I haven't done it in a few years now, but I know as of then, you could volunteer both. I've actually had shifts on Monday, Tuesday, AND Wednesday before the con before. But again, times change.
I've done pre-con the last 4 years and each of those years you just get one shift only and you can use that to get a badge for any day of Con you choose (except PN, no PN badges for vols anymore). You can only do one though.
I might be wrong, but i am told more are trying to volunteer now then fight for a badge at return and open sales for any badge at time. i am trying it since i have had chance to go in past years ago and so hoping all goes right so chance do again next and beyond.
Why wouldn't it be both? Sign up in the volunteer interest list in the fall, then try for a badge at open reg, then if that fails, try for a volunteer spot. I would think that people who want to go will try any avenue they can. I know I would.
That's what I did. I signed up for volunteer interest list last year. I didn't get a badge at pre-reg, but got one at open as part of a buying group. :) Then when the volunteer list opened up, I signed up. It's my first year doing that, so I'll see how it goes.
I have some ideas to what jobs there are from what i have read and can think of right now, but at first i was told they choose job for u and now i told u get to choose the job u wanna try if any spots are open when u arrive and get something to choose from or a form or something im guessing. and if chance to do again the next day if u not like the job u had first day u can try for a different job the next if chance to do it again. so i can only go by what i have read on this site and what i have read from others on another over the past months and all.
In recent years, my experience in volunteering is that you tell the shift scheduling person the time slot you would like to do, and then they'll give you a random assignment based on that. It is possible to ask to do a certain assignment (or task), but it also depends on the availability of that shift for that day. It's not always a guarantee, but it also depends on the person scheduling your shift. They might just do it randomly and request your preferred time slot; they might not let you ask for a certain assignment because, truthfully, there are some tasks that everyone wants and will always try to get.
Sometimes, if a department manager likes your work ethic and your ability to get along with their staff members, they'll put in a request with the Volunteers Services Department to get you to volunteer with them on the next day.
You'll enjoy it. I've been volunteering for over a decade now. I love giving back and helping, especially new con-goers. I'll cross my fingers you get a fun assignment!
If you give me an idea of what you enjoy at SDCC, I can give you some suggestions.
First year volunteering with a couple of questions. First, if I volunteer on Weds. before comic con starts, which day do I get a valid badge for? Second, if I don't get a shift until 5pm let's say. Is my badge valid that day or the next day? If it's the same day, does that mean it's only valid after my shift?
1. Which ever day you choose (except Wednesday.)
2. It is valid that day, including the part of the day before your shift too.
Right now I have more of an interest in helping out with panels, but As this will be my first time, I'm willing to do whatever they want me to do. I'm just happy to be there, and looking forward to the experience.

I have another question: when does they give you you volunteer badge, The day before your assignment (when you register)?
Does anyone know what the latest volunteer shift is? I'm going to be in Hall H all day Saturday and in case I don't get a Pre Con shift. I want to make sure I can still stay until the end of the Marvel Panel

Super late, like 9 pm? You can def volunteer after the floor closes. Some panel run run until midnight, so there's needs for volunteers during all of that.

I got the pre-con shift email, but my wife has not (yet?). She checked the "interested in pre-con shift" box in earlier volunteer registration like me. Should I try signing her up through the email link using her email (linked to her CCI account)? She should get it soon. If you haven't, make sure you check the spam folder or any other folder for your email. I'm not sure on your idea but you could try? Sounds like the link is generic so up to you.
Only sign up if you are able to do those times. I wouldn't do that (not show up) if you are selected. They don't like that.

Nothing. This is from last year's email of the actual pre-convention assignment:Huh, I was told something different last year but hey, that is nice. So [member=6745]Loliiz[/member], sign up then. Sorry for the confusion just yeah, a staff member told me no, don't do that. I wonder if they thought during the con by accident even though I said before the con? I was asking just to have more info if I wanted to try for a pre-con shift for 2017. :/
You do not have to notify us if you are unable to do this assignment. It will not affect your volunteer status and you can still volunteer during the convention (Thurs-Sun). You may not send someone else in your place or bring anyone with you to volunteer.
However, if you go to the convention and actually take a shift in person, then you must show up or else be penalized.

Even if I don't get assigned, I'll be around that there to explore and be ready for Thursday (I didn't get 4 days, needles to say PN)

Yeah, I was actually surprised when I read that in the email last year. The staff member may have mixed it up or just did not know the specifics since he/she probably did not have to register to volunteer & it does seem like a fairly subtle distinction. Maybe SDCC figures that since there are still a couple weeks out, availability/arrival times could change. Whereas if you go there and actually sign up for a shift the next day in person, they know you're definitely there.
"We are no longer accepting responses for Pre-Convention Assignments. We look forward to seeing you at the show Thursday 7/20/17 through Sunday 7/23/17.Glad I got mine in early.
Thank you for volunteering!"
SDCC has changed some of the rules on volunteering. This was one of them. In the past, you would be penalized if you didn't show-up for a pre-con shift. (If you signed up for one that is)
I see volunteering as like a job even if u are not like getting paid but are paid with a badge to get into the con. i guess many try volunteer as a back up if cant get a badge, but i see if u cant show up for a shift then u should atleast try have a number u can call or text and say why u cant be there at time so they can call or ask anyone who can do a job and by chance be given some kinda bonus reward some how maybe. was just a thought and maybe feedback all the same.
Can people that have pre-conned describe that the tasks will be? Normally I'm up for anything, but I hurt one of my arms a couple of weeks back and now heavy lifting is out. Not sure if I'll be healed in 3 weeks.

I submitted within minutes of getting the email and I got Wednesday 8am shift. I'm pretty sure I only requested night hours for Wednesday though so I'm not sure what happened there. I guess I'll just have to wake up super early to drive to SD on Wednesday.
First year volunteering. So confused. Bummed I missed a pre-con shift. I have Thursday/Sunday passes. I really want Friday passes, can I sign up for a Thursday evening volunteer shift and get a Friday badge? Also how so you deal with Hall H wristbands and getting in line in time?

I really want Friday passes, can I sign up for a Thursday evening volunteer shift and get a Friday badge? Also how so you deal with Hall H wristbands and getting in line in time?No you can't. You get the pass for the day you volunteer. And the earliest time you can pick a volunteer slot is the day before at 1pm(?if I remember right) (or after your shift previous day whichever is last). So you could get there Thursday a bit before 1 to sign up for the ideal Friday shift. I recommend super early so you can play after or later so you can play before or schedule around whatever panels. But note that late shifts would interfere with signing up for Saturday's shift.

I missed pre-con to. :( I'm hoping that there may be a last minute rush for people and maybe they will send out another batch of assignments. Do they ever do that?
I'm also a volunteer virgin, but the way I understand it is that you get a pass for the day you work. So if you work Thursday evening, you get a Thursday pass. You can get an assignment after 1:30pm on Thursday to work Friday so you don't have to show up in the morning. Once again, I'm a first timer as well so I don't know anything.
Do they change location as to where to check in ea day or is it the same hotel or at convention center this year?
Question- Thanks in advance for any help.
This will be my first time volunteering and also first time ever at Comic Con. I do not have a badge but live near San Diego and decided to join the fun.
I have a pre-con shift Wed19 afternoon at 4pm. If I want to get a Thu20 volunteering assignment, can I do it on Wed19 before my pre-con shift or do I have to wait until after I completed the pre-con volunteer shift on Wed evening? Thanks.
It's at the same place every day for the duration of the con.
You can get your Thursday assignment before you complete your pre-con shift. They're not mutually exclusive. I always suggest to people, get your shift as soon as you can to have the best selection.

Yep, but there is no beating the rush.Seconded. The Wednesday afternoon line to get your shift is a good couple of hours long LOL
If I don't want to volunteer on Thursdays, do I just show up at the assignment desk after 1:30pm on Thursday for a Friday shift? I'm thinking of making Thursday offsite day. From previous experience, the first day is the best day since the crowds are smaller. Saturday is a disaster.
First time volunteer here. My husband and I both received emails that we were scheduled for the Wednesday Previn shift. He got his barcode yesterday. I'm still waiting on mine. I started to panic a little when I saw a lot of other people on Facebook got their barcodes yesterday. Glad to see I'm not the only one who hasn't gotten it yet!
I have a pre-con shift on Wednesday and I plan on using that free day for Saturday. However, I'm thinking about not volunteering Thursday because I want to do all the offsite events. However, how can I get my shift for Friday if I'm not inside the convention center on Thursday? How does this work?
Volunteer registration is no longer in the convention center. It hasn't been for a couple of years now. It's located in the Marina Ballroom FG at the Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina hotel. So you won't need to be inside the convention center for any reason.
So I just come to the Ballroom at 1PM on Thursday to get my shift for Friday?
Volunteer newbie here. I've heard people say to ask for a good assignment. How does one do that and what are the options? I know it's all subjective, but what do people suggests as good assignments and times to ask for?
I'm coming late into the game. I signed up for volunteering way back when and was confirmed as a volunteer back then. But, I have not gotten any email (barcode or otherwise) about volunteering. What should I do? I really still do want to volunteer.
Looks like my plan to not volunteer on Thursday is out the window. I was going to make that my offsite day but one of the offsites I want to do is Westworld. They require a badge. Until I check in to volunteer, I won't have one. Maybe Friday will be offsite day then.
If the vol badges were like last year they'll show all four days on them since it's an rfid badge. Just whatever day you don't do won't be activated. I am 99% sure the Westworld offsite will not be checking if it's activated but that you have an actual badge
I understand that but since Thursday is the first day and I didn't get a precon shift, if I don't volunteer Thursday then I won't have a badge period. That is unless I can register and get a badge on wednesday but just not sign up for a shift until Friday. Does anyone know if that's possible?
If you have volunteer status your badge will have all 4 days on it regardless if you have precon or not. (Again this is what happened last year and I didn't have a precon shift ) You can pick up your badge on Wed and get a Thurs shift. You can only get a friday shift on Thursday or Friday.
I know all that. You don't seem to get my point. Might I suggest you go back and reread the first post of mine that you replied to or even the last post of mine your replied to.To my knowledge, you should be able to register (and get the badge) without signing up for a shift. It just won't be activated until you sign up for a shift. So just go in Wednesday.

Are there any panel volunteer options? Also, what are we supposed to wear?!
They've never sent a second batch of pre-con shifts, not to my knowledge at least. I've been doing SDCC for a long, long time now. Everything you said is correct.

IT HAPPENED!!!!!!!!! They sent out another batch of pre-con shift assigments. I just got one! They even said it was because of last minute requests for workers.
YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Hello, I'm a newbie to the board and this will be my first year volunteering. I read in my emails that I'm supposed to bring a signed agreement from the handbook. Where is this handbook located, I've looked through all the the links and can't seem to find anything...
Got my barcode this morning. Question, they warn that the line will be long in the morning and a lot of you have posted that a 2 hour wait is not unusual. The shift assignment said to show up 30 minutes before my shift. If I have to stand in the long line to volunteer register, should I plan on getting there a couple of hours before my shift. Do people who have a shift on Wednesday get priority in line?

I once volunteered in a panel room--my job was to open the exit doors for people leaving, prop them open when everyone streamed out at the end of the panel, and close them again for the next panel. Pretty chill! I was almost given a job as a room counter, where you get a clicker and click it for each person that comes through the door, but I was wearing cosplay that day and apparently you're not allowed to do that job in cosplay. If I recall correctly, volunteering in the panels was called "front of house."
I think you can wear whatever as long as it's not offensive/excessively revealing! I saw a guy in a very complex costume (involving armor and an oversized sword and a boombox and a fan) show up for a shift and they came over to talk to him, but I think he did end up going off in a volunteer vest.
It would be awesome if I could get panel duty so that I could kind of attend a panel at the same time. Not expecting it though, I looking forward to standing outside in the hot sun telling people not to walk this way. Expect the worst, hope for the best. Seriously, I think they should give the choice assignments based on seniority. Newbs like me should do the grunt work.

What is the best time to do a volunteer shift for the day?
I asked the same. I didn't get an answer other then what's best for each person would be different. I wasn't looking for an absolute answer. I was looking for examples of what other people have done in a past so that I could get a feel for it.
I'm leaning towards night shifts, as in as late night as possible. Panels and offsites are over so it won't get in the way of that. Aren't the viewing rooms open until the wee hours? I don't mind being a minder making sure the kids don't get too rowdy watching animation. If there is such a thing as an animation room minder.
Hi Volunteer Newbie here,Yeah u can
I live pretty far form Downtown, Can't travel to downtown today, just to get the Thursday's assignment. Can I get Thursday's assignment on Thursday morning ? It's not very clear from the Mail they sent with the bar-code.
thanks

Thanks,The best time would be the day before lol the rule is earlier the better but no matter what you are guaranteed a shift if you show up day of. The pick of shifts left only gets less desirable.
Is there a best time to reach there for assignment. Could the assignments for the same day get over if I reach late like 10 ro 10-30 ?

When they say show up 30 mins before your shift, they mean 30 mins before your shift. I showed up early to get through volunteer registration. I was told to come back 30 mins before my shift. They have a different line. So no need to show up early.
on the other side i had some trouble with time management & location issues /both lost & late/ before a shift & end up at the assignment desk 10 min after my shift was suppose to start. My time was shifted from 12:30 start to 1p
they really needed people tho- ymmv!
Oh yeah, if you volunteered today. You can go back any day and claim your free day. Just go in the morning, hop in the short line, and get your badge activated. I asked around what the procedure was but no one was certain so I went back to the volunteer center and asked there. That's what they told me. It's good news. I thought we had to pick a day today. This way is super flexible. If the offsites are looking bad tomorrow, I might just activate it mid afternoon. There are some evening panels I wanted.
I'm using my free day (for working Pre-Con) on Saturday. Volunteer desk guy told me I can come in Friday after 1pm to get Saturday activated on my Volunteer pass.
Forgot to ask the volunteer desk today.. My wife and I both did Wed pre-Con shifts and we're getting a free Saturday out of it. Anyone know if I can pick up/activate free day for my wife at Volunteer check in (I'll bring her Volunteer pass with me)? Also, can I get her t-shirt ticket validated/stickered? She needs a mental health break from Comic Con tomorrow. ;-)
Just tell them straight the situation and sure they understand and they do what can get all sorted. i see how times can be and con has changed alot to anyone may have an off day and need break from all the chaos kinda. so let them know and do what u can.
I did a pre-con shift on Tuesday this year, which was my first year volunteering. There were some computer glitches and we were not able to get our normal paperwork to present to our supervisor. We had a bit of a challenge getting our shift added so that we could get our shirt and our free day. Did anyone else who volunteered pre-con have computer glitch challenges? It finally worked out, but it added hours of extra waiting and walking to various places to get it worked out.

So on Tuesday and Wednesday they had to check precon shifts manually. And I believe there was only one binder with the hard copies. So each terminal operator would take your info to the supervisor, and usually there was a line, and then she would inform them of your precon shift. Mine was Wednesday so they had expedited the process. But it was still rather disorganized.
wait... i completed a pre con shift in good fashion on Wednesday afternoon. I never went back to the volunteer area to check in or for my t-shirt /not so much interested in the vol t-shirt )Well I am assuming you first went to the Marriot Marquis volunteer check-in and then you were sent to your shift? (You were in the sails pavilion registration and lanyards, bags pickup section if I am not mistaken?) When you arrived for your shift, or at the end, you gave your C-Card to the supervisor who then at the end of each shift sends all the C-Cards to the volunteer check-in at the Marquis to verify that you completed your shift. If you want the tshirt or need a free badge then you have to go back to the Marquis. For the tshirt they place a sticker on one detachable section of your volunteer badge that you surrender when you get your tshirt from the Hyatt.
did i need to or should i be ok for next year?

but if i gave my C-card to the supervisor so i should be good for next year. I did not want a badge or T-shirt so i didn't return to the MMM vol dept. You should be fine then for the volunteer priority list. Maybe toss them an email to verify and ease your mind.
& Yes, i got my shift via MMM Vol check in

that's what I thought plus i really didn't want an XL men's t-shirt /wink/I went for my T-shirt on Sunday afternoon, they had all the sizes! I was surprised they still had a lot of them.

They checked me in at the desk by putting a check mark next to my name. At the location of the shift, after it ended, I signed out by writing down my name on a piece of paper. Just to be sure, I went back to the MMM the next day, because I didn't have anything unlike you did for your Wednesday shift. It was on file, so I was good. Overall, I had no card and it was on record. You had a card and it should be in their system. Again, you should be ok for next year. Now I did, however, got my Volunteer badge that Wednesday for the heck of it, and to get the shirt.

That is surprising that they had all the sizes left. Great advanced planning there, CCI.I'm guessing it's because the shirt sucked this year.

LOL I must be the only person who was actually happy with the volunteer shirt this year! The minimalist design was a nice departure from the cartoony designs of previous years IMHO. I also like how the Comic-Con logo is prominently displayed.
Some character art would've been appreciated but I'm more of a Marvel guy than DC so I was fine not having another Batman/Superman shirt in my collection...but what I wouldn't give for an SDCC shirt featuring Spider-Man! I know it'll never happen but a guy can dream.

Same! I've done it on Sunday the last 2 years bc I'm honestly just too lazy to walk that far. I never complain that they only had XL bc that's on me for not getting my shirt earlier. (I worked the giveaway room on Sunday afternoon and soooo many people complained to me about their Legion shirts) I asked about how they had more this year and they said they brought more this year apparently.
What were the complaints about the Legion Shirts. Just curious

Did everyone get the pin box before they got their shirts? The volunteer shirt validation spot had a paper sign saying so, though I went on Sunday morning and my badge wasn't activated for that day. But I tried going into the convention center anyway to pick up the box on Sunday and flashed red. I just went and got the t-shirt after and didn't bother getting the extra pin box (already had one for my regular badge).

I got my pin box on Sunday. They weren't asking or checking for proof of volunteering, it just looked like they had tons of extras and were handing them out to whoever. I found that the box actually came in handy for storing all the other pins I'd acquired during SDCC.
Wait. We were supposed to get a pin box as well as a volunteer? No one said anything about that to me. I thought only paying attendees got that.

Pin box pick up was the same, up at Sails Pavilion. Not sure if that was related to t-shirt validation though, as in wait 3 hrs after your shift to validate.
Last year, at volunteer check-in, I didn't get the extra WB bag, but I made sure to get one this year.
So volunteering, you could get WB bag+pin, lanyard, guide book, souvenir book, pin box (at Sails) and t-shirt (at Hyatt).
Which desk was the note on? The one at volunteer check in or at t-shirt pickup or ?
You know, it would all be so much easier if they just had everything in one spot. They had the bag, lanyard, guide book and souvenir book pickup right there at volunteer checkin. Why not have the box there as well? Either that or have us go to sails to pick up everything like anyone else picking up stuff onsite. Although in that case I would have missed out on everything since the person checking me in didn't tell me anything. I only got the bag and lanyard since I saw everyone else doing it.
Arg!!!!!!!! They probably had a lot of extras because idiots like me didn't know we were supposed to get one. Where were they handing these out for volunteers? Was it at the same place as the t-shirts?
Inside the sails pavilion next to the bags there was a special desk with just boxes.
In Sails, when I stopped by the boxes desk, the person there asked to see my volunteer badge, then gave me one. As I think others have noted, they were handing boxes out left and right in Sails on Sunday. I was there when they gave out the last box and they all cheered!

I think maybe they didn't originally intend to give the badge boxes to volunteers, but ended up having extras--my supervisor in Sails on Sunday brought me one and told me they had too many. I think she said that the in-person badge pickup people hadn't been picking them up or something.
If volunteers wasnt supposed to get a box, then we got lucky i guess that they mass produced them by chance and thankfull to get one at time. i have learned at times u are given stuff or anything even if u dont expect it at time, which has happend alot sometimes. i just do what i can and say thanx or thank you to show i am happy to be given something at anytime. sometimes people dont even say anything and just take as if expected to get it at time.
I do have my vol badge..... I'll be sure to keep that with my real badge from this year
just in case
As long as your C-Card was given to your volunteer shift lead (which would have been given to him/her) by the department head who graded you after your shift, you're totally good to go.
The sups I had told me that the C-Card wasn't really necessary. They checked me in by asking for my name and said that even if they didn't get my C-Card that I was all set.

I did but I don't think that has anything to do with it. Since even on my last shift on Sunday they told me the same.Ah, I see. Just wondering since they didn't have the system up for those two pre-con days, as you know already. Those days had no cards, no nothing so I can see this being true. I would still give them a card if I got one, though. I can see a mistake happening.

Oh I made sure to give my card to someone at some point during a shift. Sometimes it was at the very start. Sometimes it was at the very end. Whether that someone was the appropriate person and what happened to it then, I have no idea since the person I started a shift with was not always the same person there at the end.
Yes, I saw the pre-con shift madness when I checked in. Instead of looking something up on the computer, the checkin person had to go line up and ask someone physically looking through a printout. I even commented to the person in line behind me that it's the 21st century so shouldn't all this be in the computer.
Was it me or did there seem to be fewer volunteers around in some areas this year? There seemed to be fewer in line control for instance, outside many of the rooms. Maybe I was just in the 'wrong places'...lol
I wonder if that had a bit to do with having already shown up for a shift previously, in which I'd guess Sunday's C-card validation, which affects next year's Priority Registration eligibility, really not necessary? Were you able to get a second t-shirt?
In the shifts I worked, there were too many volunteers. In one shift, they doubled us up where we were posted where normally only one person would stand. In another, most people ended up sitting on the floor off to the side waiting for their shift to end. When I got there, I asked a guy from a previous shift what he had been doing. He said he had been sitting there his entire shift.
Out of curiosity, since CCI updated some things today -- mainly the return reg. stuff to say if you are good for it, which I am -- in the volunteer area, everyone (well, fellow volunteers), your end has it saying that the program is full for 2017, right? No more green check for now? I know that part will be updated later on for 2018, and I also know that this is a silly thing to worry about, just I am so used to seeing that green check for that section. It is throwing me off. lol I did my one shift so I know I am good, just double checking. Nothing more.
