I think it's going to be on September 6th which is right after the first ... and when SLCC is happening.
I'm not sure this is a 'game changer', but it might weed out a few people who do not pay attention and input their verification codes during the limited window of time.
I'm very interested to see what happens with this Preregistration Code Verification.
Me too! Are they just adding hurdles to weed out people who didn't attend/are waffling about going next year or do they have something else in mind? Why wouldn't they just use the badge code as the code to get into the pre-reg waiting room? I'm curious to see what their motivation is.
I'm very interested to see what happens with this Preregistration Code Verification. I agree with TJ --- I figured we'd need the code during the actual sale, so having a separate step like this could make a big difference. And it makes me even more confident the sale will be in September!TOO FUNNY!!!
If your child (age 12 or under at November 1, 2013) attending SDCC in 2014 with a child badge, but will be 13 or older as of August 1, 2014, they can participate in online pre-registration.As per the back of my child's badge for 2014:Children who will be age 13 on or prior to August 1, 2014 must KEEP THIS BADGE to participate in online preregistration for Comic-Con 2015. Do not sell, share, or give away this badge as it contains important information you will need for badge preregistration. Your Comic-Con 2012 badge registration is not complete until you register for a Member ID. You will have 4 weeks to complete your online Member ID registration. Member ID registration for 2012 pre-registered attendees will close December 2, 2011. You will receive your barcode confirmation from EPIC Yeah, it'll hopefully be a much, much smaller window.
Maybe? But I'm reading it as the "verification period" will open when they send this email, in a "couple of weeks". I think they'll then give us a week or two to verify before actual pre-registration. I'm still betting September.
