for a few years i tried to actually celebrate my birthday on my half birthday. i gave up on that after a bit. actual birthdays around the holidays are a pain.
I have the same issue with my kids (one born on Thanksgiving Day, the other born close to Christmas). When they were smaller, I would have a joint 'half birthday' party for them in early June, which they loved. But as they've gotten older, they want to have more of a celebration on their actual birthdays. I just go with the flow.
Ohhh, what day was your turkey born?? I was born on Thanksgiving too! And it's still close enough to Christmas for the double gift. I really love the Winter holidays though so I don't mind it. This year my birthday is Black Friday.
I love the holidays as well, and I've infected my family, so in our house it is birthday season (my husband in October, my daughter in November and my son in December) all intertwined with holiday season. It makes summer a bit 'slow', but then we're traveling and vacationing so much that we still have fun. ;DMy daughter was born on November 23, hence her missing the November 1 cutoff for 'junior' status last year. Since she was born on Thanksgiving Day, the hospital gave us a shirt for her to wear with a turkey on it, saying 'We're thankful you've arrived'. Very lame, but it is in her 'first day' picture. It's definitely far enough away from Christmas for 'double-gifting', but it's a loooong stretch between Christmas and the next birthday.
I'm guessing prereg won't be after Thanksgiving, but I guess you never know! Everyone thought it would be way before November!
I think CCI already confirmed that it would be between Halloween and Thanksgiving, so before your birthday for sure!Unless they change their minds, of course. Sigh...
Where is Chris with the Bee Doo warning
so the forum consensus is Nov 8th?
