I think if you like any of the shows in Ballroom 20 that day, it's going to be a very pleasant time with little waiting in line.  (I like The 100 a lot)

It's a lot to miss in Hall H, but I'm committed to Agents of SHIELD/Agent Carter this year and won't miss the worry about freeing up the entire day Thursday to start scouting for unofficial lines.  If CCI doesn't come down hard on unofficial lines, they may start to form on Wednesday (if they're not already forming).

A bit off topic, but I think it's kind of amazing/terrifying that this is my first year attending, and I'm already preparing in case this happens. I remember the first year that I went to NYCC in 2012 and had no idea about camp outs. And now, I feel like I'm a super planner ever since I joined this forum (as if I wasn't already a heavy planner before!). Thanks, FoCCI!

Ha! My first year in 2010, my friend and I got to the Ballroom 20 line at 10am for the 10:30 panel! Thankfully, the lines weren't quite as intense back then, so we ended up only missing the first panel and part of the second.

Good luck in your epic quest for Hall H this year! It will, in fact, be epic!

I have no intention of even trying to get in Hall H on Friday, but it should be interesting to see any drama that lines cause. I bet someone starts trying to create a Star Wars line at least by Preview Night. Hopefully the Con deals with it and sticks to previously stated (but not enforced) rules that lines can't start until after the hall clears the night before. Otherwise a ton of people are going to be in line for days and miss out on some good con stuff just to see GOT, Walking Dead and/or Star Wars.

Do you think there's any possibility that Star Wars will get a thing like DC TV did last year, where it's at the end of the day and the hall is cleared for an hour? That could give GOT fans an honest shot at getting in to see that panel without having to skip out on Thursday fun.

As much as that would make things easier for pretty much every other fandom in Friday Hall H, I really doubt CCI would go for it. Realistically, the Star Wars line would probably form just as quickly/early and CCI would left trying to manage 2 huge lines simultaneously. I'm hoping (although not necessarily expecting) that it will be first thing in the morning, so that if I do decide to dedicate the time to lining up/getting it, I'd still have a decent chunk of Friday left afterwards.
