Going to try for a Supernatural autograph today. Which hour would you recommend going? 4am? 5am?
Where do I line up? First time doing this.
Do I make the line where it was badge pick-up at the Con? Or where the boats and the sea are? Or are only those toys line?

i would imagine you can also get signatures at that walker stalker con thing going on at petco park too.

I did the Walker Stalker last year and it was a complete waste of my time! No really big names and on top of the $75-150 they charge, there are only a few picture opportunities and not a whole lot else to do inside.  Seriously.  Huge disappointment.

Our main reason on attending comic con this year was to get artists in the exhibit hall to sign our stuff, specifically simone legno for Tokidoki. How are the lines for artists in booths in the exhibit/vendor hall? Will it be a ticket drawing like everybody else has been talking about? I mean he's popular, but probably not popular as some TV shows/actors.

At Comic-Con 2015, I found that crowds in the "autograph hall" area in (I think) Sails Pavilion would ebb and flow greatly.  My son and I kept checking back throughout the day, and at one point were able to get everyone's autograph we wanted with little or no wait.

i'm just wondering how the autograph lines work for the CW and WB.  I've read the posts here that said you essentially have to camp out by latest 1 am or forget it.  Is there one line per show (arrow, flash etc). Once you pull for the one show can you go for a different show.  I saw a youtube vlog somewhere that a son/father camped out for autographs for the CW and somehow they all got tickets for each of the shows (arrow, flash, etc).  I'm a bit confused. It would totally suck to camp out and get there and not pull a autograph ticket and that's it.

It's one line for WB/CW. When you get to the front you pick which show you draw for and take a ticket from that bucket. If it wins, you get a wrist band for the autograph session, if you lose you get nothing. Win or lose, you can then get back in line and try again.

If you were one of the first to make it, it's possible to get back in line and win for two if you are lucky.

I have been lucky to win multiple times on the same day for WB.
This is all down to chance so keep that in mind when you decide to join the line.

yeah ive been luckily enough to win two times on the same day, we were right in the front, drew a winning ticket and went back to the end of the line.

But most of the time the most popular drawings go the fastest, like the flash went pretty fast last year, my daughter drew for that one and won, but me and my wife drew for another show and went back in line and got lucky again for a different show.

Oh O.K. thanks for the info.  So if you're in the WB/CW line, you draw for say the flash (and say you get it), you have to go all the way to the end of the line to draw for arrow? Isn't the line like insanely long at that point so essentially you can only draw once? I don't know how it works that some folks said (they came early and were at the front i assume) they were able to draw twice for the popular shows on WB/CW?

yes you have to go all the way to the back of the line. :( and yes the line would be to long to get arrow and the flash, if both there autograph signings are the same day. :(

those people who got 2 really popular shows for the same day most like cut back in line with there friends/family or something like that. ive been in the front of the line, and got back in the back of the line, and by the time you get back to the front of the line to draw, the only shows left are new shows or shows people dont care for as much.

I think we should start a 2016 thread for this discussion.

For anyone new to the forum or has not attempted autographs at SDCC please refer to the earlier posts in this thread for historical information on line setup and rules. Nothing major has changed for this process in the past year or two.

Wow...nice to know in case this comes up this year.

I got into Walker-Stalker with a groupon, only $25 dlls each. And I pretty much regret it - all artist charge 50+ for photos and autographs, they basically make you pay a ticket to get the chance to charge you more inside without anything to do .
They do give out "free" candy.... but it's not as important really. I will definitely be skipping it this year.

I believe that Walker Stalker Con has already stated they will not return to SDCC in 2016.

Forum Housekeeping:
I'm going to start a new, more general thread for tips and tricks at getting autographs at Comic-Con (instead of labeling it with a year, since most of the autograph policies and procedures are the same year after year).
