Greetings, everyone!

This is a separate thread from the regular You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to house all of the "yellow bar" status updates from the open registration sale's waiting room (and possibly other relevant status updates from twitter, Facebook, etc.).

When I open this thread on the morning of the open registration sale, I would like to ask that everyone to please refrain from making conversation or holding discussions in this particular thread so that we can more easily keep track of any status updates during the sale.  Thank you!

Hopefully, this will help people keep track of whether or not your page has refreshed to the next "yellow bar" status message.

Conversations will be removed without notice.

If you want to comment or make small talk during the sale, please head over to the open registration discussion thread:

You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

If you notice updates from social media (CCI's official Facebook, twitter, etc.) during the sale, please feel free to post them here.

*NOTE: The buying groups are welcome to post their level or percentage of badge purchase completion for the sale as well.  (Estimates will be just fine, since it's just to show us how each group is doing.)

Good luck to those of you participating in the open registration sale!  ^__^

In 1984, Comic-Con was moved to the month of June. Why’s that, you ask? Well, Los Angeles was hosting the Games of the XXIII Olympiad in July and August. #OPENREG2020

In 1985, the Toucan made his debut as our official logo! We are forever thankful to Rick Geary for introducing us to our beloved mascot. In lesser known mascot and logo news, our staff had a real-life cat mascot in the early 2010s! Once upon a time, a little black cat wandered into our office and never left. So, we adopted him and named him "Mooch”. Our furry friend was added to the staff sign-in board and had his own ID badge before getting adopted by one of our employees and has since passed. #RIPMooch #OPENREG2020

In 2002, Comic-Con acquired The Wonderful World of Comics Convention in Oakland, California. Known as WonderCon, our sister show also embraces all the main aspects of pop culture, with comics, movies, TV, animation, the Masquerade, and more. The event has grown in all aspects over the years: more attendees (and cosplayers!), more exhibitors, more programming, and more fun. Join us for 2020, badges will be on sale soon! #OPENREG2020

In 2004 Comic-Con expanded into [drum roll, please] Hall H and officially took over every inch of exhibit hall space in the San Diego Convention Center! #WeNeedABiggerBoat #OPENREG2020

In 2008, we sold out all days for the first time in the convention’s history. In 2012, we hit our max capacity! We truly wish we could accommodate each and every person who would like to attend the show. We are making strides to increase space by utilizing hotels and outdoor venues including hosting programming and events at the Hilton Bayfront Hotel, Marriott Marquis Hotel, Hyatt Hotel, SD Central Library, and Horton Grand Theatre, Barriohaus and the Comic-Con Museum!! #OPENREG2020

SAM: Storytelling Across Media was introduced in San Francisco in 2016 and moved to San Diego in 2018. This free, one-day event (held at the Comic-Con Museum in Balboa Park) includes panels from comics greats, kid-friendly activities, and networking events like Comic Creator Connection and Gaming Creator Connection. #OPENREG2020

Legendary sci-fi writer Robert A. Heinlein, author of the Hugo Award-winning novels “Starship Troopers” and “Stranger In A Strange Land”, came to Comic-Con in 1977 and launched a blood drive that still bears his name. In 2018, our attendees donated over 3,300 pints to the San Diego Blood Bank. #TeamBill or #TeamEric?

Comic-Con 2020 Open Registration is moments away! Stay calm, don’t refresh, and good luck! Before we get started, we’d like to take a second to dedicate this badge sale to our late President, John Rogers. He deeply loved Comic-Con, our mission, and all of our wonderful attendees. This one’s for you, John!

We appreciate your patience as we prepare to begin the random selection process. If you are selected, you will automatically be moved to a registration session. Do not refresh your browser or you may experience technical difficulties.

The spinning blue circle means the waiting room is actively refreshing every 120 seconds. Refreshing this page or opening another window may result in technical difficulties.

If at any time you are removed from the waiting room, log in to your Member ID account, click the “Registration Info” tab, and use the link to enter your registration code again. You will be put back in the same random group you were assigned. This will not impact your chance of being selected.

Preview Night (Wednesday, July 22) is not a stand-alone option. You must buy all four single days, Thursday through Sunday, to purchase the Preview Night option.

We sincerely appreciate your patience. The waiting room is slowly moving people to registration sessions to ensure that the system is running efficiently. If you are randomly selected you will have 15 minutes to complete your badge purchase.
