But, just like last year, CC booked WC the same weekend as another major Seattle geek convention -- the anime-focused SakuraCon.
WAHOO!!!! I just bought me some tickets to Emerald Con! All three days! I've never been to Seattle, so this is going to be fun!Who here has been? I need some questions answered. Are there buses like at Comic Con?How does badge pick up work? I've been to SDCC but if I can maximize my fun, I will.
We got a room at the Sheraton. It says it's a half block from the convention center. Does anyone know if it's possible to get from there to the convention center without going outside? I'm a little worried if I'm in full cosplay and it rains. I was looking for a hotel connected to the convention center, but there doesn't appear to be one.
If you bought tickets, it did say on the purchase screen they'll be physically mailed to attendees. That's different than last year when we had to pick them up. (The line was organized, and we didn't have to wait more than an hour but there were some reports of people having to wait 3-4 hours.)Hotels are here: You are not allowed to view links. Right and I saw that screen. It pops right up. We have a friend who lives in Seattle and my wife may not want to attend the whole con. I'm the nerd in our fam. So we are looking for something closer to where she lives and I am trying to work out a bus line. We may stay downtown. Paying $139/night for the Sheraton is nothing compared to SDCC rates. Still, if we can save money and EC has bus routes then it's like us baking our cake and eating too! As for badge pick up, I just went into auto pilot and wasn't thinking. SDCC is usually the only con I go to and I'm used to waiting in line for my badge. lol.
There isn't, but rain is very light and doesn't occur continuously. Most of the time it's just overcast and kinda misty.
