Hotel Circle? Mission Valley?
Early Bird? Get real!
Bring on the Hotelpocalypse,
Give us Bayfront deals!

Anxiously we wait,
For the hotel hunt from hell,
Toucan blog we ask,
“When the heck is the sale?!”

Killing time, skimming posts,
Reading poll after poll,
Our mouse wheels are smoking,
As we scroll, scroll, scroll, scroll.

Be ready when it comes,
Click it fast before they’re gone,
Con gods, please smile upon us,
and grant a room to everyone!

No, nothing announced.  And this delay is somewhat normal. There's usually unofficial news a few weeks before hand and there is some chatter and speculation.  Official news happens much closer to the date.  General consensus is that it'll be the first couple weeks of April.  So official news any time!

I just checked my email from last year and they sent it on Friday March 30th. Sale was on Wednesday April 4th.

So I'm guessing just a few days before the sale happens!   ???

They won’t send the email on March 30 this year! It will most likely be after WonderCon.

That's reasonable, last year they sent it a week after Wonder con. So I'm thinking they'll send the email April 5th and sale goes one April 10th this year :)

Has anyone tried logging into on peak to make sure their information is ready to go? I forgot my password and now my account is locked out. I tried to put in the on peak id that was from last year so it would send me an activation code, but it says invalid.

I think it like resets itself every year, basically your 'account' ends once the convention is over; like I was able to log into 2018's portfolio but 2019 shows that the email is invalid.

Is anyone else feeling...surprisingly Zen about Hotelpocalyse this year? Like, don’t get me wrong, the nerves are still there, but for once, instead of feeling an impending sense of DOOM, I have this feeling that everything’s going to go smoothly. Maybe I’m just getting accustomed to the stress after doing this for three, now this will make four, years. I’m hoping it’s a premonition though lol.

I have never and will never call it hotelpocalypse because i dont feel its that bad. I discovered this forum while searching for any advantage in getting a close room and have become a member ever since. Really theres so many duplicate requests that they have to release extra rooms every year leading up to the con. Just check diligently and youll see the downtown rooms appear after the lottery through onpeak. The exchange here is certainly a plus but is not how most people get their rooms.
