Red Carpet Experience?
« on: January 15, 2018, 07:19:45 AM »
Hey so I am heading to LA this weekend and while I am there the SAG awards are going on so I got some tickets for the bleachers.  Have any of you went to something like this before and if so how was your experience / any recommendations?

Just dress comfortably, wear sunscreen. You will just be sitting bleachers to watch stars walk in.....bring a good camera for pictures, one with a nice zoom lens. Bring water a hat. Think of it like an SDCC line, but you have a bench to sit on.

I watched, looks like it was all under a tent this year. Our sprinkles on Friday must have spooked them. I'm surprised they made you wear a suit. What a crock. I'm a member of the union, but have never been. Tickets are $500 a pop!

Yeah it was Black/white cocktail wear required.
Had a blast though.
Several actors came over and signed and took selfies.
Would gladly go again if the opportunity came around.

Glad to hear you had a good time - thanks for letting us know how it went!  It was nice that some of the actors took the time to go over there to say hi. How long did you have to wait in the bleachers before people started to arrive?

We had to wait of site for over an hour, then they shuttled us to the bleachers maybe 20 minutes before actors started showing.
We had a few Stranger Things & This is Us actors come over and sign and pose.
Biggest "name" to come to my section was William Dafoe, but Nicole Kidman & Margo Robbie did go over to other sections of bleachers.
We also got a small red carpet goodie bag from People magazine and l'oreal.
