On that note for a similar idea. You can consider airport, secure parking structures that are quite cheap if you're not staying overnight OR even overnight (say if you need two cars but your hotel only lets you get one spot). Use that and then lyft/uber/taxi over to the con/your hotel. One of my group did that once. It was like $15/nightly, not sure what a day rate would be.
SDCCBlog has an update on the new parking purchase procedures for 2018!You are not allowed to view links. Register or LoginYou are not allowed to view links. Register or LoginI don't think the service fee will be that low for SDCC, but would be nice!
If the email address is not already in the system, Ace will have you create a new account. However if your address is already in the system from prior sales, you just need to confirm your credit card data and click on submit to sign up for the lottery.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Question: It's my first year attending SDCC and I had signed up for the parking lottery in case I didn't get a hotel from the lottery. I was fortunate enough to receive a hotel, so I technically don't need the parking permit anymore. My question is, how hard is it to get a permit through the lottery? Should I still go through the process so I can give my pass to someone on the forum? Or maybe I should only do it if I am in an early group?
We will have a parking exchange thread set up on this site to make it easier to give away parking spots to those who need it.
Entries for the lottery will be accepted until the 22nd of April. We will hold the lottery drawing on the 23rd of April and divide the selected entries into groups.
The results of the lottery should be emailed to us by Wednesday afternoon.
Where did we see that we will be notified on Wednesday? On the FAQ it says the drawing will be held on 4/23. Either way, I’m hoping for a good result. This is the last piece of the puzzle!
