Between Marvel and WB/DC TV
« on: July 12, 2014, 10:22:41 AM »
So, the Marvel panel is supposed to be an hour. The big WB thing doesn't start until 8pm. Do we think they'll clear Hall H during the break?

I think it's unlikely, given that on CCI's website it officially states that they do not clear rooms between panels. *But* they might be running an extra-vigilant seat count to allow in as many people as possible, as well as allowing for overruns from the day.

It's just interesting since they haven't had something like this before. Even Kevin Smith would start about 15 minutes after Marvel.

Plus as someone else brought up, things can run late sometimes, better to give themselves 1.5 hours between the last two.

I've been wondering the same thing.  They do not have a practice of clearing the room, but then an hour and a half break between is quite long.  I agree that at the least they will be scanning for every available seat and squeezing in as many people as possible.

If they were to clear the room, that is something they should be announcing now.  In fact, they should make it clear either way.  The worst thing they can do is let people create their own expectations and then be angry or disappointed when CCI goes in the opposite direction.  If they announce during the day on Sat that they are clearing the room, there will be a lot of raised angry voices in Hall H during the day.  But if they don't clear the room, then they will have angry people lined up outside who will pretend they had no idea that 80% of the hall would be full before any of them were let in.

Make it clear now and let the emotions settle before the con.

probably just a buffer since hall h always runs late. They'll probably do trailer park in between panels

I agree Dave. They should just say SOMETHING. Even if it's just "no clearing, just like normal." People are trying to plan. Someone said well people could go get dinner. Could they? I expect after Marvel (if they don't clear the Hall) people will leave and new people will come in. Do you risk losing your seat? Do you get a "bathroom" pass?

I found this on the site at:

You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

"- Comic-Con does not clear rooms between events. You are permitted to stay in the same room for multiple programs (with certain exceptions; if a room is to be cleared, it will be announced)." (emphasis added)

So I guess it's possible they clear the room but if the Marvel panel ran a little long would 90 minutes be enough time?

Anyone think it's odd that there doesn't seem to be any references to the WB/DC Universe stuff?  Not even a sneak peek/trailer/etc?

I think it was like that last year when they announced BvS. It wasn't on the schedule, it just happened.

True...and even then it was more like just a simple tease, reading an excerpt from TDKR, and then now hearing (I believe) that they story might not even have relation to that...but anyway...looking at the TV-centric stuff and then Marvel's presumed lineup, it just feels like WB/DC is just going so slow...IMHO of course...
