You just dated yourself hehehe
Yea we all have a reason to be close to the con..<----- New Dad.... So everyone good luck! Does everyone here have a backup plan or everyone on this site extremely lucky with hotels and parking?
I’m seriously hoping the addition of the new Moxy and Guild hotels actually ends up giving attendees more chances to stay in a downtown hotel...you know, as opposed to the fiasco with the Pendry last year.
Forgive me if this has been posted in one of the threads somewhere, but do we know how many new rooms the two hotels have? No public confirmation on if either are even part of the lottery yet, but it'll be good to know how much of a boost it'll be.
I believe that the Moxy has 126 rooms and the Guild has 162 rooms. No telling how many will be available in the SDCC 2019 block.
The Moxy and the Guild are both advertising themselves as "boutique" hotels, so it's not surprising they're small.Backup for Steve's numbers here:You are not allowed to view links. Register or LoginYou are not allowed to view links. Register or Login
When I'm not doing SDCC stuff, I prefer boutique hotels. When I went into town early a couple years ago I stayed at the Ramada, which has probably about this many rooms (and is super old and way cool). So it's pretty cool to see these here.Unfortunately, as established, all that goes out the window for SDCC and I'm a con-adjacent-or-bust person haha.
Isn’t there a new Intercontinental popping up soon as well? And it’s a way larger hotel.
Yep, same here. My criteria for SDCC used to be a combination of distance + price, but now that all the really close hotels are within about $20/night of each other and I'm a little older and make a little more money, my criteria list is pretty much just DISTANCE DISTANCE DISTANCE.
