Now all you needed was Stewie as the Marriott Marquis Marina, and you'd be golden! ;)

I bet it was only "the beginning" for the cleaning person. I hope you remembered to tip the help. ;)
I was thinking the same thing. Bet the cleaning person was cursing SDCC under their breath.  “Damn, dirty nerds....”

I deemed my "fridge" to be full after the leftover artichoke crab dip from Joe's Crab Shack.

I don't drink, but I am addicted to Coke Zero. I NEED my cold sodas! Since I drive down to SD, I bring a bunch of grocery-store 6-packs of bottles and store it in the hotel room fridge. When I used to stay at Hilton Bayfront, I brought a big collapsible cooler and tossed in 2 gallon ziplocs of ice. It worked well.

Whether I'm flying into San Diego or making the long drive there, I always try to bring an insulated bag with cold bricks that keeps all my pre-made sandwiches for lunch at the con! Then when I check-in at my hotel, I just transfer my lunch/snacks to the fridge in my room & save so much time by not waiting in line. One year, my room wasn't ready before I had to line up for the Star Trek Beyond lottery so the front desk was nice enough to refrigerate my sandwiches in the meantime.

I wish you didn't ask that.....now I'm thinking I'm never shaking the hands of anyone at SDCC ever again......

I mean, you probably shouldn't anyway. At least not the ones who don't use deodorant.  :'(

We stayed at the MGH last year, and luckily they had a fridge in our room (at that time I had a prescription that required refrigeration).  I didn't think about them not having fridges!  I'll need one since I just had a baby and will be needing to store milk for him.  I'm really hoping we get a hotel that has one for us because I don't think I trust cooler hacks to keep it stored at an appropriate temperature.

How do you wash your hands after going to the bathroom?
Sorry I ponder these stuff...
You dip them in the toilet of course, you just flushed it so its clean for at least 10 seconds, five if you're using the food on the ground rules

Are you a beer guy at all? Because SD is literally the beer mecca of the world in my opinion.  If you love beer there are breweries and tap rooms all over gas lamp and they sell to go growlers and crowlers.  I usually hit up a half a dozen breweries on wednesday and bring back a bunch of to go stuff my room.

+1. Jimbo's in Horton Plaza has a GREAT selection of local craft beer. I also may have to swing by Stone or Resident beforehand to pick up a growler or two for use during the con.

I’ve stayed at the Hampton Downtown the last few years, and they have fridges but no freezer compartment, which makes freezing my fake ice bricks for the car cooler problematic. The front desk will put them in their freezer, but then you have to bug them to get them out each morning, so it’s kind of a pain—I haven’t figured out a good alternative yet.

Mission always has some comic con related events going on to. I always hit them up. They usually bring in some retro arcade machines and have live entertainment. Had a rapper one year rapping about Zelda and Mario all night. Good times.

The past couple  of yrs we’ve arrived to our hotel two to three days b4  the con starts. Asking for fridge on the Monday or Sunday before everyone gets into town has usually been successful for us
