"More Information Coming Soon!"

"Becker's other big WonderCon announcement is the launch of Funko's nationwide "Fun on the Run" bus tour, where the Freddy Funko figures will be available as exclusives. Kicking off on July 7 in Nashville, the 10-city trip will chart a course from the East Coast to the West Coast with stops in Tulsa, Amarillo and Tucson along the way. The Funko bus will pull into San Diego on July 19, just in time for the start of Comic-Con International."

I wonder how they picked those cities. Hope to catch the SDCC stop!

What in the world is this.  Interesting they would do this with SDCC.  Hope it doesn't decrease the chances of Fundays or manpower.

Fundays is definitely still happening, they were hyping up the move to the Rady Shell at their WonderCon panel.

Is that pretty much confirmed then? I suppose that will likely mean more tickets for the event (though the bots and resellers will still take most of them).

Yeah I'd love to go as well but going in accepting because I'm not clued in to that stuff that I will likely strike out.

Still it's the hope that kills you so as long as there's a chance I'll try!

I think Brian (or Mike) mentioned that it almost never rains in San Diego in July which is something they looked at when deciding to switch to the Rady Shell, which is outdoors.

The real question for me is how the event might be changed. Will there still be dinner? Swag bags? Games where everyone can win a prize?

My technical brain's been thinking of this since they said something last year.  How does the food (if they have it) work? Will there even be tables? What happens given inclement weather (rain-ish)? Lotsa variables so far...

I could imagine food trucks in the area. But while rain is unlikely, it could be cold and windy, or otherwise not comfortable being outside, which would also make it difficult to eat.

I've been to the Rady before for a couple of concerts, and the whole front section seats were at tables set up closer to the stage. And they have dinner service available onsite, so you can eat at your table before the concert. It was very similar to the Hollywood Bowl set-up (if you've been there).

They could do food like Star Trek did for the premier there, pre-boxed meals.

I can see food trucks on the periphery, lessening the cost for Funko, but again, I'm wrapped around the logistics wheel...but, that's just the way my brain works  ;D
