I honestly don't expect him to show up at all.
My guess is also NO. If he does come I wonder if the shorter show will affect demand? The time invested to get in will be the same, but the show will be half the time. Just curious.
In my opinion, if Conan does go to SD, the demand would stay the same/high.
I think an over-eager 1iota intern listed these dates prematurely-- :-\You are not allowed to view links. Register or LoginSurprised to see that there are taping dates listed for the Conan show that go all the way to August. There are even a couple listed for Comic-Con week, July 17th and July 18th "Coming Soon". However those tapings take place in Los Angeles, not San Diego. I don't know what to make of this.
Conan is a solid no for me. It was a fun time, but I felt like it was a wasted day, as far as the con side goes.
Yeah, I'm really torn about whether or not I'd want to go again. I'm very very very happy to have gotten to go (it was one of the few Comic-Con related things I hadn't done over the years: 3rd time was the charm for me & Conan) but you're right about the time commitment. The year I went to Conan I didn't have PN, and went to Conan on Thursday. I spent a lot of morning in line for Conan tix (and was still way high in the nose bleeds since I 'only' got in line 'as late as' 6/6:30am), went to the Hall for 90 min/2 hours or so, then back to Conan for the taping, then a few more hours or so back to the Exhibit Hall. I felt like it 'threw me off my game' a bit, and I didn't really get to see/explore the nitty gritty of the Exhibit Hall until Sunday. Last year I tried for tix for Thurs. & Sat. but didn't get em which worked out fine because I waited in line for a bit Thursday for Fri, and was able to walk right into Hall H for a bit on Sat.I'll probably try for tix again, but won't sweat it if I didn't get 'em.
Same here--while Conan is probably my favorite offsite, it eats up most of the day and when I have a badge it's very hard to justify spending so much time outside the convention center. (The year I went to Conan, it was perfect since I was a volunteer rather than an attendee.) And last year, there were people who got selected and waited in line but still weren't able to get into the show.
