I suspect by the time the film opens the majority of the public will have forgotten about this tragedy, and it's not like that will be in the marketing.  I suspect this is more of a low budget direct to video/streaming kind of thing anyway.  It's not like Alec Baldwin opens theatrical movies nowadays

Marketing won't mention it, but the news and social media sure will. So, the bereaved husband takes cash and an executive producer credit, and all is fine. SMH.

Agreed. I think because the file is so low-profile, this is ALL people will know about it. They'll probably get some voyeurs from that but most people will probably stay away... if they even notice the release.

To be fair, and maybe blunt, this is likely the kind of movie no one would've noticed had there not been a massive tragic story attached to it

All publicity is good publicity.  People will see it just to see what the “fuss” is about.

I'm very surprised they charged Alec, I thought the assistant director who handed him the gun was more likely to be charged.  I think Alec was charged as an actor, as opposed to a producer, which makes it even stranger.  Not that I think Alec is blameless.
