What is a good lineup policy for an evening Ballroom 20 Panel?
thewiredknight:
My wife and I want to attend the Critical Role panel on Saturday at 5:00 pm. For panels we usually hold a "line two panels early" policy for popular items in places like 6BCF (we don't do Hall H) but the only time we've been to Ballroom 20 in the past is for the DC animated movie premieres which are usually walk in. So we aren't certain how early one needs to line up for ballroom 20 for popular panels - especially when they're at the end of the day rather than the start. Any advice would be appreciated.

I find looking at the panels that are in teh room right before helps
btw, this was taken from the listing above in each daily thread

Alyssa is correct. A lot of people will be in B20 all day and leave after Orville, so if you line up at about Orville's start time, you have an excellent chance of getting in.

The one really bad thing about the no Comic Cons for the last 2 years is now I have little reference points to know how popular some things are.
Like I have no idea the fandom around Orville, Mythic Quest or Critical Role.

Critical Role is fairly popular with its 4-5 hour D&D streams each week running about 50k in viewership and its viewership on youtube uploads being roughly half a million per episode. The panel has been in 6BCF the past several years and generally was pretty packed (and also had a large exedous afterwards. So I suspect it will be popular this year but I don't know how much of the fandom will be staking out ballroom 20 since in 2019 it hit the point where not everyone got in for 6bcf (though it was the first panel in the morning then as well so that is another difference).
Thanks to everyone else for the information about the Orville. I had no idea what the viewership was like for it so I wasn't certain how much it will impact the room and Ballroom 20 is fairly large.
