Night time events?
mr.rob201:
So I've been reading that there are night time events, and parties while at CC. What's this all about? O.o?
Transmute Jun:
Various events happen during the evenings. Some are part of the Con and you can get in (presuming you line up early enough) with your badge. These would be things like the Eisner Awards, the Masquerade, Penn & Teller, the film festivals, etc. There are also separate ticketed events like Wootstock (or like last year's premiere of Cowboys and Aliens). Additioanlly, there are various 'clubbing' style parties in the Gaslamp, but I'm not familiar with those.

Last year, I went to a few night time events: the Nerdist podcast with the Doctor Who cast, the White Collar fan party, Michael Ausiello's party with the Psych cast, and the Nerd HQ party. In past years, I've been to the Dr Horrible Singalong Blog Singalong, night time panels for some lesser-known movies, and special sneak previews screenings of movies like Red Eye, the Island, and Shaun of the Dead. And the nerds party at the clubs until all hours. Also at The convention center things like RiffTrax live, screenings of genre movies and anime all happen at night.
Spiderdan:
I'm not into the club stuff but I've heard there are a ton of other things that go on. I'm definetly hitting up Nerd HQ and hoping for some good movies!
psithi:
There used to be movies shown 24 hours but I don't know if they do that any more. But the gaslamp is full of clubs! And good looking cosplay girl fans. And boys.
