i wouldn't travel across the country if sdcc was held somewhere else...
i've said this before on this forum, the analogy of a sm, hip food place that is packed then moves to a larger place and is empty. the atmosphere is changes & the talent goes else where.

I tend to agree as an attendee, but long term, it's up to how much the city (and therefore the taxpayers) wants to commit to expansion of the convention center and the building of more hotels to accommodate even more guests.  San Diego needs to expand the convention center, and if they don't, this event will have to go somewhere that can allow it to grow.  I love coming out to San Diego, but you can really feel the strain on the convention center if you try to visit on Saturday.

To me it's always been San Diego Comic Con...  let's all hope they can do what needs to be done to keep it.
